Hi All, Here is a used but in good condition Trace Elliott 100watt head, it was taken from a combo and is the chassis only, however I have a brand new carpet covered amp sleeve to go with it. It works perfectly and sounds great, but amp wise I am all sorted for now and this just wont get used. How about £80 for both plus postage or you are welcome to collect from Hereford. Cheers Stu

Hi Guys, As I am moving fully back to bass I have a few bargains available, this being one of them, it is a Marshall AV100 Valvestate 100watt combo. I have the genuine Marshall cover for it, and also the four button footswitch too. It is all in great shape and a very versatile amp. It has some really useful preset effects, not like a modelling amp which I can never get on with! This one is simplicity itself to operate. It has a lovely tone and I gigged it successfully over the last six months. I also have an amp stand which I may throw in which is really useful Collection preferred (Hereford), but can meet up if not too far. Looking for £ 165 for the amp, cover and footswitch which is a bargain cos it all cost me around £300, so grab a bargain. NB I also have the matching 1 x 12" extension cab, however the AV100 doesn't power the second cab, but it does look cool! Selling that seperately for £75 if anyone is interested. Cheers

I had a gig last night and needed a back up bass in a hurry, so picked up a Squier Jaguar active bass from the local music shop, I tried several budget basses as contenders, but the Jaguar had a great neck, was lightweight and had some usable tones. I decided to use it on the first couple of numbers at the gig just to get the measure of it, and ended up playing it all night, the punch and tone were incredible, it cut through the mix with the right balance of grunt and warmth, and every note was articulated, I was stunned, and our singer at the end of the night said to me, 'don't get rid of that bass, it sounds awesome'. These budget basses are incredible, and as you guys know I have owned some pretty high end basses in my time and yet you can pick up an entry level instrument that stands right next to them gigworthy wise. I had thought, it plays really well, lovely neck, lovely balance, can always chuck in some decent pickups, but no need, the stock ones sound great, i also thought about changing the tuners, but they were good too, lots of adjustment, bass stayed in tune perfectly well all night. I am wondering when I change the strings for my usual Elixirs will this get even better!? So basically, Squier has delivered an entry level bass that really punches above its weight and begs the question about spending large chunks of cash on boutique instruments (and believe me I have done this in the past!),when you can get something as usable and articulate for the price of a decent effects pedal. I believe this is one of the VM range, I am stunned by it, the amount of comments I got last night at the gig about my bass sound was incredible, have any of you guys had similar experiences? Here are some pics for those who are interested:

Hi Guys, I am selling my beloved 4 string Warwick Dolphin in red burst, this has been my main gigging bass for years, but I am now 6 stringing it full time and don't see that this will get any use for the forseeable future. This bass is astonishing, it has a superb thin jazz like neck and an amazing growl when played. I believe this was a special order (what the seller told me many moons ago) and I can believe it because I have never seen another one like it. The truss rod cover says Dolphin I, but as it has a bolt on neck it could be a Dolphin II. I will post pictures soon if there is interest. Looking for £600 including case posted to UK mainland. Cheers All I have a fretfx fretlights currently on it, which work really well for me, but these can be easily removed with no dertiment to the bass. It needs a good polish as it has been in its case in my wardrobe for the last few months. Also, I am an appauling photographer, so forgive the pics!
