1. I have had several, they are fantastic basses, superb quality, really well put together and an accumulating assett! Enjoy!
2. I am no MM expert, other than owning a few over time, this one looks all wrong, sorry for the guy having been conned, why has he not got this resolved through Ebay or Trading standards? But for what it is worth regarding the neck: A) The headstock is the wrong shape, the 'kosher' one has slilghtly sharper edges. The string retainer is normally between the D and the G, not between the A and the D. C) The tuners are not correct, the diameter of the stems are also too narrow. D) String retainer is not MM pattern. This aint what it is reporting to be.
3. Hi Grahame, No, will have to try it on the scales, but I would say that it is an easy one hand lift. Am amazed this hasn't gone for that price! this is such an awesome sounding cab.
4. I dont know what I am doing wrong, it just plays the first note and stops?
5. No, but I am told it is an easy mod. However I would say that i never found the need to as it is a really well balanced sound. Cheers Stuart
Are the tweeters switchable?
6. Good luck bud, you'll love it, just feel the song and have fun with it.
7. Here is a cracking bass cab with a really tuned and focused sound. Cab is the one on the left 500w @ 4ohms 26" tall x 20" wide x 16" deep, (66 x 51 x 41cm) Loads of info on google! Build diary here http://www.finnbass.com/showthread.php?t=5...highlight=abort I bought a roqsolid cover for it Would need to be collected ideally Looking for a very reasonable £175 Cheers Stuart
8. Shed pickups make fantastic er...pickups, I have had a few from them and they sound gorgous, would thoroughly recommend them, and in my humble opinion beat the hell out of SD and EMG. They can be found here: http://www.shedpickups.com/ Cheers Stuart
9. My two penneth worth is that slap is like swearing, put it in context in a good piece of work and its absolutely fine and dandy. But when you go to a long awaited bass show in London and hear 50 frustrated drummers all slapping the hell out of the equipment it is really, really bad. The bass is an organic instrument to me, it is very expressive, it has its own voice, and overdoing the slap you might as well have bought a washboard! It is a technique, it is valid, but keep it in context and like super powers, use it sparingly!
10. Hi All, The continuing clearout continues... Today I am offering my pristine Squier Classic Vibe P Bass in Fiesta Red, which plays sublimely well and is beautifully finished. These are a huge surprise as they play wonderfully well and are incredible value for money. I have upgraded the pickup to a handmade 'shed' pickup which is a 5% overwound which gives this bass a massive P bass sound. How about £225 plus postage or always welcome to collect from Hereford. This is a great instrument and you wont be disappointed, read some of the reviews. Cheers Stuart

15. String spacing at bridge is 20mm at nut 10mm, and according to my bathroom scales it weighs 4.2kg. It also very well balanced when worn. Cheers Stuart
What does it weigh, Stuart? And what's the string spacing at the bridge?
16. Hi Guys, Recently acquired this is in a trade, and it is in immaculate condition and comes with a very high quality gig bag. This apparently is the actual one on Jim's website, look at stock basses and scroll down. 4 string Horn Bass Bolt on neck. 34" scale 24 frets. maple/wenge laminated neck, madagascan rosewood f/board. carbon fibre reinforcement, two way truss rod. White ash body, green tint and black grain fill satin finish. Delano PCHE & SBC pickups, ABM bridge. Gotoh tuners, Black hardware. Seymour Duncan 3 band active circuit. This has a very punchy tone and is as good as new, nicely playable and balanced. Looking for interesting trades or £750 for a cash sale.
