1. Hi all, Don't know if anyone knows this one, it's a great number, and on the surface of it sounds pretty straightforward, but there are a few bits that just don't sound right. Just thought I would ask... Cheers Stuart
2. Looking for trades as well, not just basses, also amps etc... throw me an offer!
3. Sorry guys, no case, but will be well packed, or as always you are welcome to collect! I am passing this price on to fellow basschatters rather than ebaying it first, I think its a great price for a Status and it sounds really punchy and everything works exactly as it should. Cheers for the kind comments, oh and forgive the one chrome knob, didn't have another brass one!
4. Hi all, I got this recently from this very forum, it had been in a bit of a battle and the controls had been punched through the face and the electrics were playing up. I took it to my local luthier who crafted a nice brushed brass plate to cover the damage and house the controls, the brushed finish matches the hardware. He also fixed the electrics and set it up. It nows plays and sounds amazing. The problem is I have acquired too many basses recently and need to thin out, so I am putting this back up at what it owes me which is £395.00 (plus postage or welcome to collect from Hereford) which is a bargain price for a pukka Status! It has its fair share of marks and dings but is a very playable bass with a great sound. Here are some awful pics! Cheers
5. Wow these listings sure move down the ranks fast.....er......bump
6. I have just acquired a beautiful Warwick fretless, so this has now become available. Hope Eubassix doesn't mind, but here is his original ad: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...l=aria+fretless These are classic old basses and lovely to play, read his comments about the pickup, it works, never caused me a problem but worth mentioning. How about[s] £250 [/s] £200 delivered to UK mainland? Cheers Stuart
7. Interested in trades guys, make me some offers!
8. Cheers Schnozz! It has Alan's not symmetrical neck profile which is great to play, Alan is a great luthier with some really nice options. All the woods give this an amazing tone.
9. Cheers, she is a thing of beauty! Alan's work is becoming legendary.
10. I know it sounds bad, memory and all, but it was at a time when I was buying and selling loads of basses, trying to find the ideal gig basses, and a lot of basses and money moved around at that time. And with my job and all, ten months is a lifetime ago!
11. Hi all, About ten months ago I sold a bass on ebay, the buyer was from Thailand and was buying for her boyfriend, and offered to send the money Western Union, I was a little unhappy about this but went along with it. He arrived to collect the surprise present, and as it was a gift I threw in a few extras. A couple of weeks later he says he has taken it to a music shop, and they found several issues. The issues mentioned were incredibly minor and I suspect a ploy to get a sale. He asked for a refund. I didn't agree with the shop but said I would and he returned the bass and I gave him a cheque for the full aount £375.00. I thought no more about it. This weekend I have had an email saying he forgot to cash the cheque and can I write him another and send it on. My dilemma is I can't remember what happened ten months ago, I have a vague recollection of further arsing around and possibly having to get him cash instead, I just can't remember. Something is ringing a warning bell for me and I really don't feel inclined to write another cheque. Any comments?
12. Beautiful bass my friend! where are you based?
13. I couldn't agree more, wouldn't go again because of it, party piece idiots who should have bought a drum kit not a bass.
