1. I am toying with buying a Yamaha BBT500H amp head as a backup, and I have it on approval currently. They are asking £200 for it which seems reasonable. I would be using it with my two MB Traveller 1 x 15" cabs (8ohm) so will only get to use 250w out of the amp. I had a quick play with it last night and was pretty impressed with it. Any of you guys have any experience with this head? Cheers Stuart
2. I used to be with E&L, so thanks for the tip about them. Musicguard looks promising. Cheers guys (and gals)
3. Hi All, Anyone got any recommendations regarding insuring kit? Cheers Stuart
4. This used to be mine and it is an amazing bit of kit, the smallest eub you will find with a massive sound. Julian is a top bloke to deal with too.
5. I have this exact bass but it has an alembic eq in it! These are seriously good quality Good luck
6. and also used to be mine, and it is a rock monster! £250 is a steal!
7. Hi guys, My trusty planet waves tuner went south at a gig last saturday and I was looking to find a replacement, I have just received an ex demo TU1000. These are huge and bright and easy to spot from space! Great tuner, dead east to use, and super cool. Would definately recommend
8. I currently have my beautiful 4 string Thumb BO residing in my friends music shop. Just thought I would offer it here if anyone is interested at £650 plus postage or swap for a decent back up amp head, WHY? It is in great condition and is a beautiful bass to play. Cheers All
9. Would also recommend a refret, I have had a couple done recently for £80 a time from a great luthier in Worcester. defrets tend to reduce prices drastically.
10. How can anyone call Stevie Wonder and The Eagles 'total s**t'? wow
11. I had a payment from wu for a guitar recently, worked fine, you get cash in hand. Only problem I had was finding a WU agent, cash generators are agents, I had to locate three locally before i got paid, with ptoblems like, 'the machine is down' and 'only the manager can do this, and hes out until 4'.
12. Hi All, Up for sale here is a really clean original example of an Ibanez Roadstar II RB850 in Pearl Red, it is in excellent condition and is all original. Currently it is in my friends music shop, but I am picking it up on the weekend to bring home. Here she is: (seventh one down) http://www.theguitarshopworcester.co.uk/in...ly=Bass_Guitars Below are some pictures of an identical one but not mine, will post pics of mine on the weekend when i get it back. Some reviews: http://www.activebass.com/r6084--Ibanez-RB850-Roadstar-II http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...tar+2+Bass/10/3 This is a rare beast and a great player with a fantastic range of tone thanks to its factory fitted push pull coil taps, 24 frets solid accucast bridge and all round good hardware. This is a piece of history to Ibanez lovers and this stands up very very well against many modern basses. I am looking for £395 plus postage Cheers Stuart

16. JackLondon, you have nailed it for me.. +5000
17. I will only lend kit to trusted friends, as to anyone else, absolutely NO. I had a vintage Trace Elliiott Head destroyed at a big charity gig, It was DI'd and I told the other bass player not to touch any of the controls, when I went on stage I found he had cranked everything up full, it was distorted and wrecked, We all work hard and strive to get our ideal rigs, and I hate phrases like....' I didn't mean to do it mate' or ' must've been faulty pal' DO NOT LEND KIT, unless you know and trust them.
18. For a novice I think 'Bass Guitar for Dummies' is a really excellent starting point, it assumes you know nothing and works through methodically. I always recommend it to people starting out. Good luck and keep at it mate!
19. This used to be mine and it is a spectacular bass for rock, really powerful sound and a lovely neck, you wont be disappointed!
20. Maverick basses are vastly underrated,, they are really nice to play and really well put together, if this had been a 4 stringer I would have had it. Good luck with the sale mate
