1. I know, they have been going for mad money, I would rather a fellow BC'er had the benefit and I consider that to be a fair price for a great bass.
2. Hi, I have a great black ernie ball sub 4 string bass with the addition of an original black/white musicman scratchplate which makes it look really cool. I would keep this but I have acquired a lovely black stingray recently so cant justify keeping this. Will post pictures if anyone is interested. Open to offers and trades. Cheers Stuart
3. I have a vintage Ibanez 4 string short scale bass, like a mini musician bass if you are interested.
4. Quick bump before this lands in my mates music shop...
5. Cancelled my order, they now say several weeks..........
6. This guy is a top seller, paid yesterday, bass is here today, just the way it should be. Buy with confidence Cheers again Wull
7. Hi, I know, I spoke to them today and they tell me there stock is due in tomorrow/wednesday and I should have it by end of week, will keep you posted.
8. Yeah I know the exchange rate, what I mean is usually something that sells in the US for $250 often sells in the UK for £250, go figure.
9. Wow, sounds like a heck of a deal you had! I have always been told these were mega expensive and I have just dug up an old 80's us price list which shows it around 7-800 dollars mark, which usually translates £1 - $1 as it does these days, very rough calculation, but I stand corrected. http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/price/1980/Jan/p03.jpg But you will struggle to better the quality of these instruments. Cheers for the input though :-)
10. Hi guys, I was in Liverpool over weekend and popped into a couple of the music shops there, while there I tried out the Stagg EDB electric upright bass and was really impressed for a budget upright, it was really playable and a great price at £359. So, when I got home I decided to order one online, and I found one at £249 new! from amazon! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Electric-Double-Ba...7127&sr=1-9 So, thougt I would share this nugget of information with everyone, you may already know, but thought I would pass it around. Cheers Stuart
11. Hi guys, Totally original Musician bass in the lovely pearl white, in great nic with a couple of odd marks here and there as you would expect from a 20 plus year old bass, but nothing detrimental. It also has it's original hard case in good order. You all know about these, superbly made basses, all top quality woods and components, incredibly versatile and very collectable, these instruments were over a £1000 over twenty years ago, and good examples are getting thinner on the ground. I will post some pics later tonight, in the meantime here is a pic of one. 12. Hi guys, We played a pub last night and all got shocks off the microphones, but only when we had our hands on our guitars. Our kit is fine in other places and I am assuming the place we played had a duff earthing system. My question is is there any bit of kit we can plug in first that might alleviate this, its that or we all have perms and seemingly tourettes as we sing. Cheers Stuart
13. In answer to gaffbass, I have a petersen strobe tuner, which i use at home, and it is super accurate, but to be honest, too accurate for stage use, it is a super fine tuner, I use it for setting up intonation on my basses at home, and nothing is better. For stage use i use the planet waves pedal tuner, brilliant, dead simple to use and effective, basically checking my tuning every third or so song. or after a particularly energetic number, slap etc, it takes seconds and can be done whilst singer is doing the chat, I cannot imagine not user a tuner live. Our guitarist uses his me50 too, there is nothing worse than being out of tune live.
14. Hi, heres an idea, why not get some basschatters to paypall you a £5.00 payment for a chance to win this bass delivered to their home, sell 25 tickets only, pick one from hat, and everyone is happy. Just a thought
