Depends what the tweeter is. Piezo tweeters, because of the incredibly high impedance, are easy to control with a pot and a limiting resistor. If its a coil driven tweeter at 8 Ohms or so then yes, you need an I-pad.

Be very careful with nail polish remove - it can damage/dissolve many plastics. Try some of the orange smelling label remover - it'll have those bits off in no time.

The Band has had bit of niggling discontent for a while, mainly to do with choice of material, and mainly in the sense of guitar, bass drums & sax versus the singer. Anyway we arranged a meeting so that we could discuss this and agree on songs we we all happy with, or at least could play without moaning about it every time. [size=4]Then about 4 hours before the meeting the guitarist and the drummer sent us all a text saying that they did not want to carry on with the band at all. [/size] So, from expecting an awkward meeting with the worse scenario being having to look for a new singer, it went to a relatively relaxed social meeting (because there was very little left to discuss), but with no band at the end of it. The plus side is that we didn't fall out over it, the downside is that there is no longer a band, and it's left me with a real hole in my life, and I'm feeling it quite badly as the band was my only real musical outlet. Apart from having no practices or gigs to look forward to it just seems such a shame that all that work has gone into the band was for nothing. Just needed to share.

You do know that some amps go to 11?

Bass is a minority interest compared to guitars, and with a lot of people buying on line anyway why would they bother to stock much? I can totally understand why this is happening.

Taking things to the top can very often avoid a lot of being pissed about. And if the driver really was sacked (he probably was) then hopefully the word will spread amongst Parcel Force drivers, and the OP will have done us all a favour.

Well with the new pictures you can see that the one in poole has distinct lack of paint around one of the Knobs. No wonder he used the other ones.

The problem is that there is so much money in this sort of development that the odd ten grand here and there to the planning committee barely registers.

End of a era, but the legend will live on. Can't really be sad - he got to 89 and was gigging until last October! I loved his guitar and his singing. I think someone here said that never has a guitarist managed to get so much feeling out of a single note. What a guy! RIP BB

Don't know about the active part of it, but I have often played bass through my Shermann full rage cabs (15" + 6" + Tweeter), and it sounds brilliant.

Personally I find that these "Tall/hanger" style stands get in the way too much on a tight stage. Much prefer the ones that support it from the bottom and only stand about 300mm high. (but have the Hercules wall hangers at home).
