Anything wrong with the bridge 'n tuners a clean n lube with a dab of vaseline on the threads 'n worms wont fix? As for a refin n reshape... lot of money if not doing it yourself... for no real gain... But hey...

Any glue resudue may stop any further stain or oiling coverinf priperly, and might highlight the area even more, or requier even more sanding and staining...Maybe go with what ya got?...

NO... I Evilbayed and bought a cheapy £42 Epi LP for me last week... and got an £8 set of Olympia 10-48 Flatwounds for it, Sorted for £50... but not allowed it till Xmas... more to follow when its all sorted.

A jaunt round the '25 a bit to collect a cheapy Gear4Music Ovation-a-like elctro-acostic bowlback in a lovely Matt Burgandy Burst for my eldest Christmas pressie. Very similar/same as the Harley B's so should keep my Acoustic Bass company! Real nice fit 'n finish and well setup... Impressed for a budget £100 guitar... As New @ £35! Bargain...

Had the pickguard off, got some cheap flat metal pickup surrounds from the bay £3 as the epi is flat body flat neck and doesnt need the slanted surrounds... flat met truss rod cover £2... got a bit of wood for the trem cavity to block the bridge, ans leave the 3 springs in for the 'Angels Voices'... was looking at the Telecaster Humbucker all-in-one bridge... but the measurements are out, between the pickup and bridge bits presumably scale length Gibo 24 3/4 to Fend 25 1/2... so just the minor mods n plat it, Humbuckers 650 n 700 are meant to be US voiced and great, anything else is gonna be more than a quarter of the purchase cost...

Dug this out from under the bed... My Charvel 2 from '88... from when i was 20, skinny and had hair... I'd say in near immaculate condition for 33 years old... the guitar not me... im more Road Worn or Light Relic and 53. It had an outing a few years back for the eldest, but they (me) are a little reluctant to have it just kicking about... They have a Squier Stat, which they love... with the greatest of thanks to, and generosity of @Happypants

Had a go to sort the buzz... Took a needle file to the 1st fret... then 400 down to 3000 grit, 0000 wire wool then Autosolve Polish... no fret files or crowning tools here!. It's a bit better... some buzz when plucked hard... don't really want to take the 1st fret any lower or might start buzzing on the 2nd... I think the nut might be a little low so kinda split the difference... Don't want to add any more relief... and cause buzz higher up the fretboard. Neck ended up being about £15ish instead of £50ish as i got a partial refund as the neck wasnt gliss finished as adverised and the side fret markers at 9 had been double drilled, plugged and redrilled, and markers at 12 drilled, plugged and double drilled...
