  1. She Blinded me with Science... Thomas Dolby (Magnus Pike Video... Remember that one?)
  2. I'm Sorry... I know i say it every time the Which Scratchplate Q comes up! I just like plain, simple, subtle and wood on a bass so why cover a big part of it with plastic, especialy if you dont need to like on a Jazz... unfortunatly most P's have pickup routing under the guard. Having a clear plate also keeps the classic lines of the Jazz connecting with the Bell plate, No plate looks a little like something is missing (but is better than tort!), and A P looks better 'Rear Rout' n urry up wiv the near-naked pic...
  3. Nice Read.. Nice n subtle Brown Burst, without the brighter golden yellows... What does the wood look like under the guard? Can we have a pick while ya swapping? Have you considered no guard or a clear guard to keep the classic lines and 'shape' and use the screw holes and get 30% extra wood? Otherwise it would be Black Guard for me.
  4. For the Motorcycle, a good nights sleep, n loud gigs, (listening, Don't play gigs...) i use Howard Leight foams. I use the 'greens' rather than the 'rubard n custard' as the greens are slightly smaller and more comfy for smaller ear canals. Been using em for about 20 years... not the same pair... that would be gross!
  5. ^ B1on? All Sorted then... I have the B1on. Update the Firmware via the Zoom site... v1.3?... USB to the Squarer older Mini USB (not the newer flater Micro) lead needed... Download the excelent and free Tone Lib-Zoom software... (they even do an android app for phone and tablet - Micro to Mini lead needed) as The Zoom Guitar Lab software doent work with the old B1on... Clear a bank or two (or all) of patches... Build patches with the various effects, up to 5, with various settings - could have a whole bank of drive getting progressively harder and more distorted... You could go one patch per song, name them and order them according to set list, with a couple of generics DriveChorus, DistDelay, HeavyFuzz etc. The above may be obviouse, I'm just trying to help... as i have been through a lot of the above after selling a B1Four and getting the older B1on model as i wanted the Marshall Super Bass Amp sim.. ended up costing me more as i had to by the old style leads... I'm sure there in a draw or box somewhere, i dont throw anything out!...
  6. Good Darts... That was quick... Manual Attached... Marshall MB15 MB30 User Manual.pdf If it didnt come with a cover, an Upside Down Medium Sports Direct Bag is a Bang-On size cover for a pound... Keep the dust and a bit of rain off and give a bit of protection in the car... I cut a slot in the bottom to get at the handle. Gak still have the covers but are £17 + £5 postage...
  7. Man from the Ministry - Dukes of Stratosphere
  8. My Marshall MB 15 was about £30 of the bay last year... great little amp modern channel with compressor and classic channel with gain. Headphone out... google Search 'Marshall MB30 pdf' for the 15/30 owners manual, the MB range brocure is also still about.
  9. I'd start with something like Gumtree... see whats local...
  10. Swap 'Fever' for 'Covid'... good-to-go... She gave me Covid, Covid when she kissed me, Covid all through the night...
  11. lots of things have 'moved on' recently... if these songs were released now how would they be recieved? would they actually get released at all? If you are uncomfortable, i think that speaks volumes... Is that not one of the beauties of music? how it makes you feel, but if certain lyrics give any degree of reservation rather than reverance, make your thoughts and feelings known there are plenty of other great tunes to choose from.
  12. there was a fretless bass shown tother day Sandberg Cali - light pau ferro board... with lines at the fret along the neck edge, just wrapping over, with dots in between... best of both worlds? I'm waiting for one with notes written on the fretboard!
  13. dunno about 'bangers' but The Proclaimers and Run Rig were quite popular some time back...
  14. B3n £90 in 'Bargain Pedal Clearout' halfway house between multi effects and single pedals?

  19. Already got a guitarist? even if not... Go Keys for added versatility and a more natural space for all in the soundscape... Was listening to some early 80's Alice Cooper Flush the Fashion and Special Forces, Punky abrupt keys nice change from twin guitars.
  20. Alice Cooper - Flush the Fashion & Special Forces... (Early 80's Electronic / Punky stuff... after the 70's Rock and before the awful Late 80's onwards Metal)
  21. #2 Neck Knot... Back it goes... Advise on #1, and get em to check #3 if sending a replacement, posibly down to the style of the big plate bridge.
