  1. Love the chair...
  2. Thanks All The No Nonsense Danish Oil i got from Screwfix is quite clear... just brings out the grain a bit, maybe making the wood look a little warmer, rather than give much in the way of tint. Gonna make an effort and get on with it next week...
  3. Yep Natural in Danish Oil... Chrome it is then... First thoughts. Style over Fashion...
  4. @EJWWThanks... My First Budget Bitsa Build... Still needs neck n body sanding and oil finishing, don't come much simpler...
  5. ^ There is always one... Sandwich?.. Ham, Cheese or Jam?... NO! i haven't got any Tuna! 😉
  6. All Simple style... Chrome matches the hardware and is familiar... Full meaty Dome to go with the Curve of the meaty high mass ish bridge... Strat Hat is Fender Family and a classic, but maybe a little out of place on a bass... I like the Big Volume and Small Tone of the Jazz, but on the P?..
  7. The Jazz knobs are covering the body holes...
  8. A change from the 'Which Scratchplate?' this Bank Holiday's dilema is 'Which Knob?' Initialy it was a nice weighty Vanson Chrome full Dome as a modern take on the classic P style, Then after i decided on Cream Pickup covers, Got Strat n Jazz knobs in cream.
  9. Reggae Fever: David Rodidan - BBC4
  10. From reading some of the above... Loud Gigs, Riding Bikes and Wind Roar, I now where foam plugs... and more recently Music mostly via Headphones... I get a more a low freq boom type resonance... than a high pitch ringing or buzzing or hissing. I wear earplugs to sleep although you can hear the sounds within your head, air and fluid etc, ticking clocks, central heating coming on, idleing cars, a fan, snoring wife... anything like that drives me mad! Recent change in headphones has shown a reduced volume in my left ear, even swapping the headphones round. Tried a few on line hearing and headphone freq tests, This thread has now prompted me now over 50 to book a free hearing test st specsavers, just to see (or hear!)
  11. Hello...
  12. 'kin hooge! could do with a 6'6 x3' ish print... would make a blinding poster for the downstairs loo door!.. MESA!
  13. I like the Adagio Flats for a budget £13... So there rounds may be worth a go... or the Olympia's...
  14. Stones on Beeb 2...
  15. Huge Hawkwind fan... well up to the mid 80's stuff... Such a classic album, so fluid and moving texture... Is the Space Ritual Remastered worth getting, is it that much better than the earlier 2 cd release?
  16. Can't begin to think how Mick, Kieth and Ronnie are feeling...
  17. Yep... but they are usually quite thin... 😉
  18. Never Mind The Butter... Can't Belive It's not Bollocks...
  19. @Velarian Any joy on the neck hole dowling?
  20. @MaudeDidnt you have a Cruiser By Crafter P on the go?
  21. Think @Reggaebass had something similar a while back... thru neck... and those fret markers jog my memmory - brass? Found It...

  23. Ozrics... Erpland (Again...) It just hit's the spot for an hour's lie down on the setee... After a bit of World Superbikes, and before a i do a Bacon Sarnie, with a Guinness and then it's British Superbikes.... Sunday
  24. 70's Mojo right there, with a hint of after market modification... Thats a YES from me... I've not seen one like it...
  25. I'd hang on to the ally pick guard... and save yaself a few quid... 0000 wire wool should clean up the detritus but leave the patina... without scratching it. Not so common as a Gold, think it would look quite unique, and keep a lighter overall appearance on natural wood and look like a 'smile' over a more usual 'sulk' of the heavier looking black plate. Offer it up for a pic...
