  1. I've got a EHX Headphone Amp... https://www.ehx.com/products/headphone-amp/ £40ish Metal Box, Bombproof, Just get a short 1m jack lead, Clip on ya strap, belt or jean back pocket, run the headphone lead up ya back out the way... Sorted...
  2. Idle 5 Mins, Quick Gumtree search - 'Bass Guitar, 15 Miles, Low to High'... Ibanez GSR200 - Got one of them... Don't need another... Black - Yours is Walnut Brown with Flats for Fingers... 'Rock' Black - Could use them Dunlop Lemmy Roundwounds, ya took of when puttin' the Flats on, Shame to waste a £25 set of strings...What and have this one for Playin' with a Pick?... What a great idea... 8 Miles - That's Local... £60 - Cheap, Don't need it... but I wonder if they'll take a cheaky offer of £50?... Oh! They would! GAS : Collect Tommorow - Fingers Crossed...
  3. @Maude... Nice Pair
  4. Black then... I am swayed by @TheGreek suggestion of the Tan Leather... I think that would look 'smart' on the jazz shape, specially with a similar strap. but would'nt go as far as a cowboy hat 'n boots.... unless a full on C&W band. Brown Suede Fringe Jacket? mmm Maybe...
  5. Aubergine Purple... Dark Dark..
  6. Wowza... Those Ibby finishes are something else... A bit overboard for me... but that neck!
  7. 3 TS... 3 tone sunburst? I dont do tort, and like more wood so if it dont need one then without, if ya got holes and to keep the line then clear, then black for simple, then off white for a more classic look
  8. Kings of Speed - Hawkwind
  9. Got a Boss Handclapper HC2 and a Percussion Synth PS2 left over from the 80's...
  10. Bit of both... pick would be a Jim Dunlop Jazz III, from Gu!tar days... or a 1mm Tortex 'Midi' Flats 'n Thumb Rest (I do like a thumb rest...) on the GSR200, so more fingers on that... not sure about a pick on flats?... ordered some cheapy wooden picks from the bay... EDIT: Fixed the problem by getting another GSR200... £50 Cheapy... for Rounds n a pick!
  11. Got the Adagio's on my GSR200... as a first try of flats, Nice... As mentoned, warm, smooth and medium tension. Bargain... offer £13... I got another set for the SR600 but have swaped back to the Roto Solo Bass Pressure wounds on that for a bit - so i got both. Some more 'Flat' blah blah here...
  12. Give TC a ring or drop em a line... I'd also Cc in where ya got it, hopefuly you will get a response before ya 30 day returns or whatever. I would expect it to run all the time, otherwise there is an extra thermo switch on the heatsink or somewhere, at extra expense Surprised it is not mentioned in the destructions or spec if on/off... a 'feature' worthy of a bullet point mention in sales blurb.
  13. Any make really... not sure of the make i have it was just a 2m lead i got from the bay... couple of leads i had knocking about were just phone charger leads, so just power and not all the connections for data. EDIT: just checked... Belkin, so cheap but branded... and kept out the way of the wife, kids n dog!
  14. Only issue i have had was using a basic charging USB lead, rather than a full data lead. May take a min or so to find the device and sync...
  15. Quite varied, (inc the Thomas Dolby above...) but nothing new for quite some time... Black Keys four or Five years back... Royal Blood (based on Trouble Coming... Radio X / X FM) sound interesting. might be the new one for the car... Not a neuroscientist... but familiar with sound and vision 'minerals and suplements'... which might also sway ya music interests....
  16. Just turn it up till the cab cones are self dusting! How about a quick blast with the aerosol duster... kind of thing used to clean computer k'bds... available from all good tat shops, pound land etc. Quick blast mind and dont shake or invert, as the jet can come out a bit cold - freezer spray like
  17. Lateral Flow Test.... Simple Mouth / Nose swab test... Results in about 20 - 30 mins...
  18. Yes... they are free, easy and quick... kids have to do em twice a week attending school... simples... why would you not want to? Especially if you have a range of age, those that have had the vaccine, or not...
  19. Have you thought of taking up the Drums? Jokin' just look to enjoy what you do... dont worry about any one else...
  20. 9 - 42... and a wound 16 / 3rd. Bit more meat n feel n full sounding... Plain 16 always felt to thick for a single wire... and thin sounding. Something i read in Guitarist Magazine in thexearly years, By Huw Lloyd Langton... Langton's Lead Lines... For a quid or so give it a go... specially for distortion and sustain...
  21. My bass sits in the corner... some days it gets picked up for an unplugged noodle... very occasionaly when i have the place to my self i use the zoom for a twiddle... its fun! some times it can sit for a few days... nevermind... its an escape, a distraction, something to focus the mind. Enjoy where ya at... if ya can.
  22. Nick Mason's Saucer of Secrets from the RoundHouse was on Sky Arts the other eve with Guy Pratt and Gary Kemp...
  23. Apparant Sound, Volume, Impact, Heft... etc a bit like Torque v Power... A lot to do with the circuit topology and damping factor of the amp to control the speakers along with the speakers sensitivity.. Some need a fair bit of power to make the sound, in that way power doesnt always equate to volume. Thoroughbred Watts! Hiwatt, Marshall etc....
  24. Can the Vol and Tone not be fitted in to a seperate box? on the floor Vol pedal with an extra tone pot added? or little box on the strap, like am EHX headphone amp? - save making holes till ya sure. Room to tape a cheap chinese P Pickup or similar under the strings? just for a try? Sounds like the EDA900 set up of Mag n Piezo.
