  2. Maybe more than one bass... Or a borrow from the Beeb prop dept for the show...
  3. Welcome, nice intro... I'm on the Hal Leonard Method Pathway... sounds like some sort of rehab treatment!
  4. Pic would help... Being a learner, i likes a rest... stuck one on the GSR200, often find myself using the end of the fret board on the SR600 as the pickup are quite tall... The wax idea sounds like a cunning plan, where a replacement pick guard wont fix... Are these the Hardware store, Homebase Furniture scratch type crayon? Maybe a cocktail stick snipped to go below the surface to take up most of the hole, with a crayon topping...
  5. Me!... No... wait... I thought it said 'Slightly overweighted bass palyers'...
  6. put a thumb rest back on... then you only have one set to fill, unless the thumb rest covers the others. got some nice wood ones from thebay, feel nice compared to slippy plastic.
  7. Fink it was a X head adjust at the body end of the neck...
  8. So, was that a genuine Jan '66 (as on the end of the bound neck...) Fender Jazz? No logo, and those machine heads?
  9. Fire Engine Red - The Grid, 456 (Feat. Zodiac Mindwarp)
  10. So the individual sadles follow the angle of the string to the nut, rather than the sadles being parallel on the body... Only really seen em used on some Ibanez models, and usually the fan-frets...
  11. Got a Boss PC-2 Percussion Synth http://www.vintagesynth.com/roland/bosspc2.php and a Boss HC-2 http://www.vintagesynth.com/roland/bosshc2.php Both been sat in their boxes for the last 25-30 years...

  14. Paul, I'll go for the EHX Headphone amp for £10 if i may?... Edit: PM & Paid... Edit: Arrived todsy Mon 12th... Well packaged, In Good but Used Condition as described, All -Good! - Great 'lil gadget.
  15. Marshall... needed a replacement for a cracked knob (stop sniggering...) for my eBay MB15 combo... old and odd stuff not listed on their web site.... sent em an email enquiry as no phones and closed early lockdown... a couple turned up in the post a couple of weeks later.. Fine!
  16. not sure what the 4 way does in pu config but that should be quite a std... EDIT: Found it https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibson_EB-3 Push pull pots, to tap the humbuckers to single coil? You could go stacked pots for VT for each pickup... 2 pots in one hole...
  17. RGB300 is wider at the nut, like the GSR200 - than the SR... Couple of mm but noticeable... P v Jazz Anyone?
  18. Also thoughts about holding a metal plectrum in his mouth a lot of the time... https://www.cancerhealth.com/article/experts-refute-eddie-van-halens-claim-guitar-pick-caused-throat-cancer Eruption and MJ's Beat It...😃😎
  19. Nice SR600 😉 How about fret board oil, or clear danish oil applied with a cotton bud... Maybe enough to seal n colour. What strings are those? They look a bit ground... Rotosound Solobass?
  20. Catch... Stick - not slide when tuning
  21. String slots arn't straight, and the nut looks a little wide... Hope they didn't charge you!
  22. I'd say the SR300... The RGB300 looks more comparable to a GSR200 in spec... Bridge, Pickups, etc. I likes the SR shape... got a GSR200B and a SR600... the RGB is a bit 'young' for me now at 50+ Whats the £€$ difference? Your previous post mentions metal... so the RGB wins on the style stakes...
  23. https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/detail/sr500e_1p_01.html strings D'Addario® EXL165 string gauge .045/.065/.085/.105
  24. Dont sound like a huge amout off? - 9 is alot more than 5... almost double... Whats ya real budget? looks like bigger savings, in percentage terms to be had on the likes of a SH SR500, SR600, SR650...
