  1. Black Uhuru... loves the liquid ooze of Sly 'n Robbie, where's my RIPS?
  2. Stuck the Yesstory Compilation on my mp3 player a while back when a Yes post prompted me. It had been i while since i listened to it, and i found it quite hard work. I'll give it another try this wet n windy afternoon... Zappa anyone?
  3. Real nice, I like real natural, a rear route gives ya more of the wood, and the clear plate gives a modern take but keeps the classic and expected lines and shapes, (A bit like those eyeing for the clear plate on the black paisley P.) without appearing too modern, and like something is missing or forgotton... i may of gone for a more modern and smoother looking bridge - more to reflect eveloution... Real nice...
  4. The BBOT type bridges are simple function. And at least, even with the cheapest of basses, have a barrel saddle. compared with BBOT saddles of say an early strat, or shared saddle of a tele.
  5. I want the Marshall Superbass amp and Cab for the B1 Four. Was on the B1 On... but anoyingly, wasnt carried over... Should of done a bit more reading up... Dont think they are compatable... Hopefully Zoom will sort this and make a Marshall Amp and Cab sim available for download via the Guitar Lab software...
  6. Q. Why do you want to know? Replacing with the same?
  7. Got a couple of shelving racks down one side, and a couple of kitchen cabinets with worktop as a bench. Mats just run under the shelves a bit, cut round the feet.. so not set the shelves on em... For a tenner get a pack and see, if not doing the whole floor great for an under foot anti fatigue section...
  8. Did the garage floor with Halfords floor tiles... works out quite cheap, any damage, just replace the tile... Not great, mark up a bit with the wait of a motorbike etc.
  9. Chamfer on the ball end? Could be D'Addaria OE on Ibbys... 45 65 85 105 is Std sccording to the Manual that comes with the bass and on there website as a pdf. EDIT: I might be wrong on the D'Addaria, but maybe whatever is Ibanez OE
  10. a 'MAD ACID DIP' swirly pink yellow green dip method multi colour paint job...
  11. Reading the above and the Build diaries... A kit is a kit... Making the neck from scratch is hard... Howzabout finding a neck ya likes, then build from their? Own Body Shape n Wood, neck pocket for your neck... pickups P, J, 'Buckers, one of each? Passive or Pre, Switch selection of the Enterpise, or simple VT, Lin/Log, No Load Tone? Knobs, Tuners and Bridge style of your choice... And a greater sense of achievment designing and making, seeing it come to life, than following the distructions on a kit of pre selected parts... Then the finish... natural stain paint or relic... 'expect to see it in the build diaries - enjoy!
  12. You got what ya wanted all those years ago... a white one for a reason... let it rest with speculation, and a bit of the unknown for good measure...
  13. After the Live album thread.... Michael Schenker Group MSG Live At The Budokan... (A fair bit of 'Authority' from Chris Glen, Alex Harvey Band) Whitesnake Live in the Heart of the city next... Might be on the bay latter for Scorpions World Wide Live... Oh these take me back... dont ya just love music!
  14. Natural 'n Satin... You only need to stain or paint bad wood...
  15. Name has cropped up on here a few times before... Budgie - The MCA albums 3 disk box set has just landed - care of Music Magpie - Tenner, New... Never turn ya back on a friend / In for the kill / Bandolier, that have now replaced the 'Best Of' that was on my mp3 player, and from where the compo tracks were drawn. Also got the latter Power Supply album... cracking Load of Budgie on vinyl - but all that faff is tucked away... I'm back in the late '90s... transported - Great Tunes!
  16. Just dont use one to keep a taly on what ya spent on bass stuff... 😉
  17. But it would be a little higher as its the 4th string... not a 5th... Between the E and A holes (stop sniggering at the back!) looks bang on... ala MM Stingray.. But looking agin at a P Headstock, maybe between the A hole (Stop it, you have been warned once...) and the D... Did you need to dowl the old G? - would reprofiling not just take you to edge of the hole... Check the back for machine head fit, and you can often turn the petal bar round in the bracket to turn the peg the other way What shape ya going for? - pics please...
  18. Are all the Harley Benton's looking at it... ganging up on it?
  19. Huw Lloyd Langton, Guitar with Hawkwind used to use one to good effect, long Drone under notes and violined bowed effect together with the Volume... Levitation Album, Motorway City...
  20. Nice Prep... Going 'Plain / Clear' or 'Stain'? A recent refinish post speaks of 'Crimson Guitar Oil'... Maybe worth checking out...
  21. ibanez site is great - you can go in on model and checkout spare parts list for part numbers, then compare on google or the bay... push on or grub screw... metric i would expect...
