  1. Ibby SR luverly body, luverly neck... Reverb?
  2. Did a cheap Cruiser by Crafter P-a-like... Heat Gun... orbital sander... then £5 Dutch Oil from screw fix... applied 'slurry method' with 800 grade wet n dry... Couple of posts here...
  3. Shiney... makes such a difference. Lets have a pic of the whole bass? I use a dremel with a small polish mop, and a dap of Autoglym... Then the Dunlop lemon oil on the fret board.
  4. Modern? I only really go as modern as the Ibby SR shape, which i 'really' like... But.. the Squire P Bass in the back ground? - they just look so 'right' or is it just 'familiar'...
  5. 'It was a dark orange/red (not sure what the colour is called)'... Rust?... 😉 I did a re-fin on a Cruiser Crafter P-a-Like...stripped the red and went with Dutch oil on what i think is a bass wood body. Just googled the body shape...white pick guard? burgandy would go nice... black would be bland - shape deserves a colour... Mustard? or go a Metalic?
  6. My Bad... and thin for the high end... would expect more ya 30 or 40s to 100s ish then for normal 34" Bass Scale...
  7. https://www.ibanez.com/eu/products/detail/src6_1p_04.html Ibby SRC6 strung E to E with .024/.034/.044/.056/.072/.084 Bloke on here had one FS a while back...
  8. Just got the Zoom B1X Four (Thanks to Alfie Noakes...) Down loaded the Zoom Guitar Lab Software to the laptop and updated the Zoom's Firmware to V2 Thinking of backing-up the standard patches, and effects, removing them all, then loading up some of the effects in batches to patches to see what i like in stomp mode... Primary use is as a headphone amp... will have alook at the Amp and Cab sims to see whats what but really after a Marshall #1992 Super Bass Head circa 1976 kinda sound. with some drive, then a bit of phaser or flanger and spot of delay for some Hawkwind-esq Space Bass... what would be closest? Any pointers on the use of a Zoom and recommended settings to try would be most welcome. Looking forward to having a play latter... when my youngest has finished his Minecraft-ing.
  9. Had a Zoom B1X Four from Alfie... Quick response to emails, Quick dispatch, Arrived next day packaged to survive the rigors of Royal Mail. Units' box and contents, paperwork etc. all 'As New' as described. All Good!

  17. Familiar and like the song.. (listening... not playing!)... Original / Remastered appears on a host of complilation albums. I found the alt version a pleadure to hear, add lib vocals, seperaton between instuments, a live in the studio vibe... sounded like they were having fun to me, possibly sounding a little rushed, but natural... Enjoyed that... will check out the album. As people are mentioning approach. i prefer a cover, not a copy. playing to be enjoyed with a bit of your own understanding - what the feel funk vibe and drive means to you - for all musicians...
  18. nice n simple design... stocky bridge...
