  1. Some buckle marks on the back and the odd scratch to the sides... but means i'm not gonna be overly preciouse about it stood up in the corner... It came with a generic hard case... but prefer the gig bag that i got with the GSR200, easier and takes up much less room... Hobby player and not as if the bass will be leaving the house Gave the frets a dremel polish, binned the old strings and used the OE that came on the GSR as a stop gap... Ordered some Dunlop Stainless... as discussed in a strings thread the Dunlops have a thinner over winding so feel smoother... 45-105. Just got to move on the GSR200B-WNF with the Hard Case, to recoup some of the cost...
  2. https://www.cdguitars.co.uk/ Looking for one of the small plastic washers / bush to replace a broken one on a machine head on my Ibby SR600, came across this lot. No experiance of their service (yet) and nothing to do with me... but order placed. UK delivery 99p... so makes sence for those couple of quid items... Rather than the £4.95 postage being more than ya few quid switch, screw, pot, washer, whatever...
  3. Indegestion? Touch of GAS? Took some 'Gumtree'... I likes the Ibanez SR's... After buying a GSR200, nice and great value, I wish I threw some more $£ in and gone for the SR300. I also likes me 'Naturals'... So I 'Hit Submit' on a 2010 SR600... Ash Body, 5 Piece Jatoba/Bubinga Neck... 38mm Nut... Bartolini Mk1 pups £200... Hopefully I didn't get my pants pulled down to far?
  4. use a dremel with a little polish mop and a touch of auto glym on the frets...
  5. Wow... looks fun... some spec 'n blah https://www.ibanez.com/usa/products/detail/src6_1p_04.html slick neck numbers... outa my price range... GLWS
  6. nice meaty bridge... clear guard... nice styling touch with the circular cut for the knob... nice...
  7. thats some bridge on that...
  8. Sounds expensive.. Mercury? Anthracite type grey / gray?
  9. like a jazz in front of a fairground mirror...
  10. Thats a 'Jizz-Jazz'... So preety... Does the finish go under the plate? - Shame to hide a third of it... custom clear or smoked guard?... nice with the mable block neck... is it good for 'petal'
  11. got me thinking... frampton, big jobi, black keys... bass on a voice box?
  12. not bad... half way there... i'll get my coat...
  13. @ Nothingman... Do you own a bass shop?
  14. whats the switch (slot in the switch n knob plate) gonna switch? No plate... maybe rear route for V n T?
  15. See Fastway at Hammersmith Odeon when they released the first album... Takes me back, good 'n simple times...
  16. who put the bloody strings on? send it back and tell em to do it proper.... 😉 Nice...
  17. Mummy?
  18. See em at the Beaverwood Club... local Rugby Club, https://www.feenstra.co.uk/ puts gigs on there and at Sutton Footbal Club... Took my eldest... Good Gig, Twin Neck, Theremin, Funky Dragon trews, the works...
  19. On the Master Tone... not a lot as you are only using 2 of the connections... As shown you are feeding one end of the track and reducing the amount of resistance to zero / ground with the wiper... If connected as you describe, you are simply feeding the wiper... (and If you fed the other end - free terminal the tone effect would work the other way as you turn...) Import wiring is at the Vol, all terminals are used... one in, one out (the wiper) and one ground... so the wiper out is the difference between top and bottom... swap top n bottom and ya Vol will work backwards - or forwards for a left handed bass!... Tone is an 'amount of resistance' between 2 connections - Vol is the 'difference in resistance' between one end to the other - 3 connections... Anyone got a P schematic diag rather than a wiring position diag?
  20. Similar meltdown when my Sons Star Wars Lego Set failed to arrive when expected... 'Kin annoying... and i feel your pain... IT SAID (expected...) BEFORE 9!- Bastards!
  21. 2 each side... one on the end (two on the end for a six, but then thats a guitar not a bass) straight down the middle... so they all line up with a straight string run over the nut... I'm an engineer so i am right... who said you need five strings anyhows? ya only got 4 fingers, if ya got more, p!ay the Banjo... and the thumb is to stop ya hand falling of the end of the neck in the dark...
  22. but unlikely to get the 'forgot mine, can i borrow ya bass?' ;-)
  23. tort plate on anything other than a Jazz... dodgy headstock shapes like a plain fretboard and like the no scratchplate look...
  24. I got some dunlop stainless 50/70/85/105 to replac the Ibanez original 45/65/85/105... the wrap is a lot thinner than that of the Rotosounds RB45 and what ever ibanez fit as std - feel way smoother... not sure if this is a stainless thing, but more likely a dunlop thing... A lot of string sets now come sealed, so hard to see or check, maybe can look at an 'individual' string in store, or take a punt on dunlop?
