  1. I likes a rear rout no pick guard. And if you are going MM Control Plate... I'd go Cheap P pick guard, cut down minimalist to more a pickup surround to cover the P route and wire channel... and to adjoin the control plate ala Jazz... a P MM J fusion. Likes the natural wood... Reverse tuners ain't gonna kill ya...
  2. If you need to go smaller... maybe a cheapy from Ali express... less than a tenner... and fit the old one in the center based on existing pickup - draw around, and cut off the excess...
  3. ON 3 5 7 seems to be the norm... Making yourself? I'd do without, maybe a mark of some sort at 12... No need, and less to go wrong lining up drilling, filling etc...
  4. In the mean time... re-weighed my Sons at 4.15Kg on luggage scales (Although a previous post states 4.3kg...) small bodied and feels substantial... Side markers are small, white and ON the 3,5,7,9,12 fret
  5. Nice Noise!... I'm more the Hawkwind Space Ritual, DOREMI - Motörhead Overkill kinda sound with his Melodic lead bass lines than the later Motör-Metäl-Müsh... There is an Xotic SL (Super Lead) Drive pedal with internal DIP Switch for selecting between SL and SB, £120ish. As @Baloney Balderdash posted the Joyo British at £25ish SH sounds good... So much so, that i haven't seen mine since it's make-over as it's been nabbed and now on my Son's Bass Board... ...replacing the Mid-modded Behringer Beady-Eye, that has now had it's own make-over... But, I loves my Zoom B1on with Marshall SB Amp 'n 4x12 Cab Sim at £20ish SH... I picked up a SH Zoom B1Xon - the expression pedal version - for a tenner the other week... £10?! Much more my budget than an OKKO MotöBass at £160ish! ...but, more than happy to watch and listen to our @CiciBassRocking and Spacing Out...
  6. Current string prices of well know brands, i'd go with what ya got... Although the Roto's are mentioned as High Tension. There are some charts on their website. Toe-In-The-Water or Budget Flats? Adagio 45-100 are Nickel or Olympia 45 - 100 in Stainless... (£16ish offer?) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302719180784 Adagio are same similar price from same shop (advantage music)... but look like out of stock, don't go paying £22 odd from others. If you dabble in guitar... i've got the Flatwound 10-46 (wound third) on an Eppi LP... neck pickup, thick 'n warm... none of that trebbly scratchy screechy stuff... save that for the strat...
  7. Home Player, and for me it's €£$... especially with a few basses. Adagio and Olympia are so reasonable if you want to give flats a first try. I also prefer their rounds to Rotosound - feel a lot cleaner and smoother... Basic Roto 45s are as rough as a badgers àŕśè...
  8. Nice... being a Rear Rout Fan (Steady!) I would loves a 4000 Cheyenne or Laredo... Enjoy!
  9. Looks great from the back, not so keen from the front... story of my life! Scratch plate shape, expectation of P J type combinations? Small body for the large headstock? Tele-head? Usual soft colour pallet DB, SFG, SP Black plate on the SilverBlack burst very 70s glam
  10. What Korg? I've got a Joyo JT305 Korg-a-like... Mute, 9v Out, LED tune options, proper bullet proof... so good infact i got a Guitar Man GM305, same Korg-a-like for my Son. Both were about £15 posted on the bay.
  11. I'd have a short lead from jack to strap, and secure the Tx, rather than having the Tx hanging out the jack wating to get a clout...
  12. You need a stereo ring tip sleeve RTS to 'switch' on the battery if active. The pure tone are multi contact, as in 2 for tip, 2 for sleeve - so make a nice positive connection, but are only TS. Stereo switch craft?
  13. I'd recommend the Pure Tone Multi Contact Jack Plug... real secure...
  14. Nurse Rozetta - Alice Cooper Classic Cooper... w/ Bernie Taupin, Dee Murray
  15. ^ I'm sure it will cover up OK with a bit of cut down rear pick guard - cheapy of aliexpress... or is the bridge P reverse Pics?
  16. Know nothing about DB other than they are expensive and string prices are unearthly... This? Project @ £350 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/283016417495402/?ref=facebook_story_share
  17. My experience with bridge saddle height and intonation. And cured the bridge roll to nice and seated. Similar experience with an electro acoustics... just make sure the piezo element is flat and central to the strings / cavity... some times they have raised sections, on the saddle blade, piezo element, or both. I got a spare bridge blade. Cheap enough then file or mid that one keeping the OE as a reference.
  18. Yesters... Hullabaloo Muse Tribute @ The Beaverwood in Chislehurst. Took my Son, Great Gig
