  1. 1. Who played Bass on the backing track? 2. Why did they leave? 2. Nope... unless the $€£ helps for a while and they are going somewhere nice.
  2. Who are you? - The Who
  3. BlockedDuster - The Sweet
  4. A thicker neck to grab as the 'kin thing takes a topple cos it won't stand up straight on it's lonesome...
  5. Yeah... that Sounds like the job of a Bass...
  6. Not specifically for Acoustics... Yours a Folk Style Steel String Guitar, not a Classical with 3 Wire Covered Plastic, and 3 plain plastic? The Flatwounds are nice to play on Electric (Les Paul a like, Fretless Strat a like) and on a Bowl Back Acoustic with little to no finger squeak.
  7. I'd start with seeing whats local on Faceache... see whats about for £X... might even be a rumble round the corner-ish?
  8. What sort of sounds you after? Bright and Chimey or Warm and Earthy? I don't like the Squeaky Phos Bronze For a warm and earthy tone i likes the Olympia Flatwounds, they do 10's (and 11's) and have a Wound Third (17), which i like - always found a plain 16 (on a 9 set) too thick as a single bit of wire. These are the 11's but message Amy/Colin at Olympia Strings for a lighter 10 set. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292380408485 Got these on an Acoustic and a couple of electrics inc a Fretless Guitar!
  9. @dub Nice... don't let anyone convince you to tort ...and a pic without the washers?
  10. More Knobs than a Boy Band!
  11. Couple of pics will help... I would not go overboard on string / pole piece alignment. https://amzn.eu/d/gav3eTY String to fretboard edge is more important. Might be more down to the DD Pup, or 60's v 70's Spacing if rear pickup. Any room to move the pup side to side - pup mounting (or route) I always thought the P and J had same bridge and spacing. Have a good look at the barrels, the intonation screw hole and the string groove - maybe a slight difference, and you could swap the order? I much prefer the F HMB over the LQ, looks sleeker. Get some pics up.
  12. No Class - Motörhead
  13. Ibby SR300 Passive P, Tonerider, Flats Body Mod by @Andyjr1515 🙂
  14. I would not worry... Bolt it up, it will be apparent if it were acting as a shim. Even if it was a shim, maybe placed ad standard?, a good clean of the pocket mating surfaces, maybe counter sink the holes a little... A good set up may negate the need for any 'easy set up shim' fitted. Could if of been a QC sticker?
  15. BIG Contours... BIG Sparkle... and then they match the headstock. And those tuners... Too 'Hat' for me... If ya look good in a hat! I never look good in a hat...
  16. @Alexbass444 Have you ever done a bitsa or modder? The feeling is so good! Jazz PJ? Bitsa with Kent Armstrong's... P Pickup J Plate was less than a tenner from Ali Express on my Aria Pro wearing Entwistle Vintage PBX and JBX (Not Neo, wrong cover!)
  17. Love my Thru-neck T-Bird Pro... Super Cool Looks, Meaty Mudbucker... ...with neck dive and a top body edge that will at least sore if not kill ya fore arm! You know how a Jazz won't stand up straight? or how the protruberance gets in the way on the sofa when sitting down, cos it's not a P?.. Well, its a bit like that, x10! As for the Schecter T or Frank Bello, Go HB50 Modder, Entwistle PJ Neo's? and have some fun! Honest Boring Answer Keep the J, look out for a cheap Thru or bolt-on neck T for the look.
  18. I'm a Police Car - Larry Wallis / Pink Fairies
  19. Not the amp, tried another bass How about with a finger on a pup case? I'd try removing the Pickup Case Ground / Braid... Half reminds me of mains hum on a turntable to amp... with the extra ground wire v's turn table psu grounded (rather than 2 wire and obvs the amp earthed)? I'd share you findings with Gemini Fingers Crossed.
  20. Tele Ring 67 x 16.5 Strat Ring 70 x 18.5 Strat Ring might go on with the the amount of room under the top plate to the windings... mmmm
  21. Meat 'n Greet...
