  1. If Mark King never had a dummy... his thumb would of been busy... and things would be different... just saying... time travel and all that, whilst ya sortin out Hitler and JFK, that kinda thing... know what i mean... wink wink... Steal his bloody dummy!..
  2. Where are you Bass-ed!.. I can help a basschatter with a touch of soldering... BR6 Google and search on here... Pure-Tone Jack...
  3. Thanks all... @mcnach those look sleek, but a little put off by the length of the tab by the jack... the joyo pedals are diddy, and the jack sockets low. @Jean-Luc Pickguard those look great for my need, minimal around the actual jack sleeve... short and slim. Now got to find a 3 daisy chain with angled 9v connectors...
  4. ^ and a strip, coppa slip, wire wool brake or carb cleaner cleaner and vaseline lube... an hour can save a fortune...
  5. STOP... all this Dymo talk... Mrs has a Brother Label Maker... Brother the brand, not a brother that makes labels... Nothing in the house can move without its own sticky label, boxes with lids, upon a cupboard, edge of shelves... labels!
  6. The Roto's are squashed with a funny hand held tool or mandrel thing... Try dropping Roto a message, see if they can Custom-Squish a set of Roto Nickels for you? Demo Trial set!
  7. The 55's are Blah Blah-ed as... a 'Squashed Swing'... The original pressure wound stainless steel bass string designed in the mid-1970s. Similar to our Swing Bass 66 strings but with a smoother feel.
  8. Roto 55's... but Stainless https://www.rotosound.com/product/rs555ld/ Mo RIP: https://www.rotosound.com/product/rs555ld/
  9. Other option may be the Plastic Welding types for motorcycle panels and car bumpers... if you have all the bits.
  10. ^ i had a few of those years upon years back... most FX boxes are not straight sided so can cause breaks to jacks and circuit boards... If only there was one simular with a UJ type flexi middle...
  11. Need a couple of minimalist patch cables for a Micro Pedal Board... thinking of a small bit of wood 100mm x 200mm... maybe lozenge shaped or oval with recesses for the pedals... Got an Iron-man Chorus to go in between the two below... really nice and subtle... none of the bubble 'n drown gurgle... Pancake plugs drop below the pedal edge...
  12. Before having the fretboard off... If its more a set-up and forget you are after... try a Torx bit in whats left of the hex hole... as long as it isnt jammed should bite on the edges and turn. Got a few mangled allen bolts out of bikes that way.
  13. Joyo JT-305 and Guitar Man GT-305 variants / clones of the Korg Pitchblack PB-01... built like a Tank!.. 'lil Joyo JF-326 IronTune, to go with the Ironman JF16 Future Chorus and Ironman JF-310 Orange Juice Amp Sim... and a Joyo JT-306 Micro Clip On and an Ibanez PU3 Clip On
  14. Are the pickups active of just the pre? I'd try the pickups passive...
  15. Look after ya Paws... O'Keeffs Working Hands not the cheapest, but only needs a dab... I suffer from thickening and splitting skin on my palm of my right hand - STOP sniggering at the back!
  16. Looks very 'Burns' to me... if it had a 2 piece guard Bridge 'Tray' and those pickups give it a look of intent, and a step away from niceties... defo looks like it means it! Pin striping and the tri-tree... nice touch.
  17. Explains why the tone changes thru the night... as ya vent a few... towards the drummer as they can't move away... better still the sax player, as they gotta breath in!
  18. I have purchased the same bass for my Youngest Son (15) as he wanted a fretless, unlined, 2 octave... and he loves it... Bubinga Body is a little weighty but lovely wood, neck n fretboard. Think his is a year earlier as the 'Vintage' logo goes along rather than across. I think Hardware and Pups are Wilkinson.. latter years had the logo on the pickups... My Son has a Q... what are the albums, as he wants to listen to more fretless... any links GLWS
  19. ^ I picked up an MB15 for £25... a year or so latter i came a cross an MB30 with Rocksolid cover for £35. So had that and the MB15 was passed on via my eldest. Sometimes these appear for daft money. Picked up a Laney GC 30 on Faceache as a freebie as intermittent faulty. Good clean of the pots and all is well. Again great sounding lound practice amp
  20. Vari's NFL... couldn't get on with em... going down the stairs!.. keyboatd swaying... and the funniest... trying to have a P!$$
  21. No mate... i feel ya pain... Something nice is bittered by things out of your control, made worse when these are everyday events that dont appear to affect others... My forehead vein starts a throbbin' (easy!) When the queue next to me starts moving faster! Whats coming? - something cheeky nice... long term um ah and thought plan or a spur of the moment I'll have one of them? Can't beat that box opening specialness... it will be with you soon. Box and that opening rush!
  22. Love the stand! Maybe a couple of lengths of split pipe lagging foam to protect the finish...
