Passive? Have you considered an Atec QTP... Bypass and 4x Resistor / Capacitor Combination settings.... more tonal variance than a Port with a fixed value capacitor... about £18 I have one in my Ibby SR300 'Passive P'

@Japhet do you not use, or like the Zoom's Sansamp Bass Driver?

Nice I put an Artec QTP Quad Tone Passive... Bypass and 4 Resistor & Capacitor Combinations... instead of the usual B250K pot and 0.47u Cap... in my Ibby SR Passive P Conversion. Neat modern take on a tone styler type thang... using Surface Mount components. Worth a mention is that the Artec Quad's need a 9mm mounting hole, up from the std 7mm of mini pots.

The Short Scale Bass Appreciation Society!

Pickup Screws look like those on a Strat, where the pickup is threaded, and the springs sit between the underside of the scratch plate. Instead of under the pickup on a P. Also Sponge is often needed on a P just to hold the bobbin in the cover, with springs to adjust height, height adjust just with foam may feel soft. -

@dieseldalziel £200... State that it was for your Son's Birthday, you didn't buy B Stock? And a return is likely to miss the date. £20 refund is not much more than the cost of post back, and only 10% I'd send them the pics with and without the pin, stating the cracking can only get worse ('d use a drop of superglue after negotiating) and more protection needs to be applied to the end pin before shipping. I'd ask for £50 and see how ya go. -
No 'Rear Route' option... I'm out.

Pole length on pickup and it's effect

^ Same as on the Ceramics... Star Wars pic above... The Screw is the metal slug, and not threaded in to anything. -
Maybe a similar Issue i had with a ZoomB1on... You need a Power and Data cable, Some are just power for charging. Newer cables should be All-Pins... but you never know. Worth a swap...
