Body is with @Andyjr1515to do his magic... Mark at Spartan Music did me a great deal on an Artec QTP Passive 5 Position Tone Switch instead of a standard tone pot... Adam Davis of Maida Vale Pickups, on Reverb, has kindly wound me a Low Rider with some blemished Alnico IV poles he had knocking about to support my build, so i'll look forward to try that by way of something different... Been on to Ben at Vanson Guitars on ebay for a pair of their FULL dome knobs that i like and have on my other Bitsas... And Amy and Colin at Advantage Music for some Adagio Flats...

Depending on budget, have you thought to try GHS Ground or the Rotosound Solo Bass Pressure Wound 40-100 or 45-105. Shame, these were on Special offer with PMT music a month back... https://www.rotosound.com/product-category/bass-guitar-strings/solo-bass/ I have the Roto Solo Bass 45-105 back on my Ibanez SR600... Bass strings are a bit pricy just to try though... Back on special at £22 https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/rotosound-solo-bass55-45-105?gclid=Cj0KCQiAz9ieBhCIARIsACB0oGJwCQZ2n-tivyhvbPn2DNL1WElVkeY_klAK_b9a9s_4uCodbN7oWhAaAvXsEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds EDIT: Sorry, just re-read and you don't want Half Rounds... -

PaulThePlug replied to Sweeneythebass's topic in Theory and Technique
Is the P Bass Pickup (halfs) not connected in series to start with but Just wound in opposite directions? Maida Vale Pickups via Reverb make a 4 Wire P Alnico IV ... with 4 wires for Series / Parrallel Switch wiring. https://reverb.com/uk/item/44712241-maida-vale-b-1p-low-rider-alnico-4-p-bass-pickup? -

As it was hard to find, i'd be looking more for a favourable discount... What was the postage? So it's gonna cost them that to get it back... Then they have got to try and sell it Damaged B Stock... and pay post out again. Outer box undamaged, Inner box damaged They can't blame the Courier as must of been like it when second boxed. Pull em up on how disappointed you are, and meant to be new... Paid say £200... gonna be £8 - £10 post.. I'd be asking for a partial refund of £50... Keep the paint chips safe - should glue up fine, and touch of black nail varnish - not that i wear it you understand... ahem! If it plays nice and it's what you are after, mainly as they are quite hard to find. -

Passive aggressive p-bass pickup recommendations?
PaulThePlug replied to MrDinsdale's topic in Accessories and Misc
I've a Tonerider TRP1, although a little different from the norm, with HFV Heavy Formvar Wire, in a P Bitsa... Alnico Kent Armstrong Hot Vintage JBV/PBV PJ set in a Bitsa Jazz... Alnico With another KA PBV arrived for another Bass project. All quite Warm and 'Vintage'... I've an Entwistle PBX / JBX PJ set in an Aria Jazz Modder... Ceramic A Bit Edgeier... Budget, and Looking at the previous responses... The Entwistle PBXN 'Neo' is meant to have 'Guts' but has disappeared of ebay of late... Maybe a KA PBO Ceramic... bit more £ than the Entwistle... Or, Wilkinson? Ceramic again may be that bit more aggressive... Stellartone... Is this what you are after?- 22 replies

I'd give the neck bolts a slacken, and a wobble of the neck, similar sorted my Jazz Bitsa.
