  1. @Hellzero I think the Red ones you sent me worked out about a tenner postage from Belgium... Fingers crossed on the UK
  2. Thanks for all the above... With likely issues with corner radius, and fitment around the ears etc i haven't pursued the 3D print route So was just looking for the outline sponge to push in the cavity around the pickup keep things simple. I was happy with the SR300 with the Maida Vale Stacked J's
  3. Headstock Shape? Shallow but, what's with G&L? The Schecter P is more 'Encore' Harley B (Aria) look way way better.
  4. Outline packing foam from a set of Jazz pups... Was after this about a year ago with no joy. Anyone with the foam after a pickup swap? so i can tidy the SR400. Ta Muchly...
  5. Love the DiMz in Cream... screams early 70's modder.
  6. My P and J Bitsas have custom bodies made from Paulownia (or Tulipwood?) ... Moderate weight, but soft for dinks when oil finished.
  7. Nice, Son has a fretless Vintage as he wanted 24 and unlined.
  8. Fretless Conversion... Buy or find the cheapest bass (or guitar) and have a go as a practice.
  9. Cough... Clip-on Tuner, Cough...
  10. 1. Who played Bass on the backing track? 2. Why did they leave? 2. Nope... unless the $€£ helps for a while and they are going somewhere nice.
  11. Who are you? - The Who
  12. BlockedDuster - The Sweet
  13. A thicker neck to grab as the 'kin thing takes a topple cos it won't stand up straight on it's lonesome...
  14. Yeah... that Sounds like the job of a Bass...
  15. Not specifically for Acoustics... Yours a Folk Style Steel String Guitar, not a Classical with 3 Wire Covered Plastic, and 3 plain plastic? The Flatwounds are nice to play on Electric (Les Paul a like, Fretless Strat a like) and on a Bowl Back Acoustic with little to no finger squeak.
  16. I'd start with seeing whats local on Faceache... see whats about for £X... might even be a rumble round the corner-ish?
  17. What sort of sounds you after? Bright and Chimey or Warm and Earthy? I don't like the Squeaky Phos Bronze For a warm and earthy tone i likes the Olympia Flatwounds, they do 10's (and 11's) and have a Wound Third (17), which i like - always found a plain 16 (on a 9 set) too thick as a single bit of wire. These are the 11's but message Amy/Colin at Olympia Strings for a lighter 10 set. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292380408485 Got these on an Acoustic and a couple of electrics inc a Fretless Guitar!
  18. @dub Nice... don't let anyone convince you to tort ...and a pic without the washers?
  19. More Knobs than a Boy Band!
  20. Couple of pics will help... I would not go overboard on string / pole piece alignment. https://amzn.eu/d/gav3eTY String to fretboard edge is more important. Might be more down to the DD Pup, or 60's v 70's Spacing if rear pickup. Any room to move the pup side to side - pup mounting (or route) I always thought the P and J had same bridge and spacing. Have a good look at the barrels, the intonation screw hole and the string groove - maybe a slight difference, and you could swap the order? I much prefer the F HMB over the LQ, looks sleeker. Get some pics up.
  21. No Class - Motörhead
