Double tape... but what about the finish? On Poly should be OK... Only other i can think would be a silicon type sealant, but i'd go double tape in as few places as need be. But... there are 2 plateless jazz, jazzes, jazzi basses pic posts on here and both look luverly... jyst sayin'

Just back from a local Rugby Club that should of been hosting Thunderstruck. Last min idea to take my Youngest (14) for a thursday eve of AC/DCnes, as i did my Eldest several years back... Cancelled... unfortunately the gearbox on the van cried enough... i wonder if the driver is the drummer? The pot resistor (250k?) and capacitor (0.47u or 1u?) Form an RC network, the adjusting the pot changes the frequency that can pass... So you are loosing high frequencies, not reducing bass. You could try changing the capacitor value for a different tone... I like the Artec QTP passive tone selector for a broader range of tones.
