  11. Not mine, but just back from an Open Mic night with the kids... Eldest (18) has played a couple of times, singing and acoustic guitar. This eve they were joined by my youngest, (14, but passes for 16...) on the Fretless Bass that i got him just last Saturday, 5 Days ago, on which he's has a noodle for an hour or so each day. Proud Dad.

  13. Nice... Was it from Luthier's Warehouse / Luthier's Craft? I had them make me a Custom P and a Custom J body. Very Happy with the results. Ha... Just seen the neck pocket stamp
  14. On a budget? Caline Wine Cellar or Behringer BDI21
  15. Joel sent me some leads for the cost of postage... A bit of time with the soldering iron, 3 repaired. So spares for the kids gig bags. 1 has molded plugs so for the bin... might hang on to it for guitar internals. One may be kinked half way-ish so more flexing and fidgeting needed. Thanks again.
  16. Nice tobacco brown burst and anodised guard, plus Flats... None of that garish yellow and red nonsense, and no tort! GLWS
  17. ...or Tea Chest Bass for those in the UK...
  18. See if the workshop can turn and part-off a couple of brass spacers, take the washers in as measure... Packet of Chocolate Hobnobs type job that...
  19. Any wood work types in the workshop? Have you considered a slight counter route for the front of the bridge to get in flush to the body at the rear? I'm thinking that the saddles may be high even at their lowest, or is their quite a lay back neck angle? Cheap progress?... something to move the project on.
  20. Mine arrived today... The MV P covers are a knat's bigger, not enough to effect fitting to the guitar, and pole spacing is the same, but I had to give the Bobbin ends a light sanding to get the coils in my Cream Covers... No real issue BIG Shout-Out (or should that be loud...) for David Adams @ MVP who also makes a 4 Wire Stacked Low Rider in a jazz bass pickup format.
  21. Like the 'Fablon' Photo Flame finish?... I would hope not...
  22. That is very nice... From the Serial # Built Dec'07 SRX 750... Do a Google, might be one on Reverb etc. Guestimate... £450ish?
  23. Local joiner cabinet maker type... with a router... 4 x 1/2" or whatever 'Stripes' to the rear?
  24. For hobbying, no real need... Have a window open, and don't have ya face over the work... I just use LMP... low melting point Used high silver content solder years back when i used to make hifi interconnect and speaker cables ala Deltec.
