Zoom B1on... loves it. So much so that i've had another of here for a mate, and another of here for my eldest's other half! Tonerider TRP1... again!... some info Picked up (!) a previously fitted Tonerider TRP1 from the bay of dreams for £26 posted. Arrived in its box with foam and screws, and fitting instructions but has 'TONERIDER TRP1 / 42HFV' engraved in to the fiberboard of the bobbin, where as pics on the internet have a clear 'Tonerider TRP1' sticker on the underneath... 42HFV 42AWG Heavy Formvar wire? Dropped Tonerider an email, with a pic and got the following response Thanks for your email. This will be from a batch we produced in late 2021 and you’re correct in assuming we swapped to Heavy Formvar wire for this batch. Unfortunately we had some issues with the Stratocaster pickups from that batch so we switched back to our previous magnet wire as we never had any issues with that one. @thodrik love that Fender brown 2Tone Tobbaco burst colour... I'd wax the raw wood of the neck and be having an aged cream plate with that brown... luverly.

If it's a regularish do... maybe neck inserts 'n bolts over wood screws?..

It's NEW... back it goes... don't make do... it will bug you forever more... presume you didn't pay to make-do? Get on the blower! If ya binned the packaging, especualy the maim box, how hard is it to take back to a store and inspect what you are taking away in exchange? worth the effort.

NO... Buy a Fretted Neck

Checkout some pics of Ibanez EDA and Afirma series... Maube a halfway house... I would guess if the body / neck is one piece or thru neck... then.. maybe a raised fretboard for slap... rather than the full amout of a bit of neck and fretboard of a bolt on neck. A top mounted fretboard may help to radius, flatish (my Acoustic Bass is about 400mm) and if you need to access / replace etc. and a top with a more recessed bass side and expossed lower with a step ala EDA for the Pop.

High mass sounds almost like the tone has been rolled of a little... Standard sounds more articulate. A standard type bridge with groves for the saddle adjust screws to stop the saddle moving then sounds ideal...
