  1. Possibly the difference between a musician and a player... much respect. Would love to be able to play (and understand...) music rather than play a tune.
  2. Luverly neck 'n fretboard colour... Dimazio's in 70's Cream?
  3. ^ and on a nice conforming sponge, custom made for the job...
  4. So the feather and scale like tiers get sanded away in to a contour? I ratgher liked them, thought they looked stunning! Or is it just down to the angle and lighting?
  5. Are you saying it wont run on teh 2x AA batteries? - have you checked/changed teh set up for teh type of Batt used? The 9v socket for external power would just be to keep to a standard, same as 5v for USB... For 9v pedal thingies that don't have internal batteries - when a separate supply doesn't make sense - i have ordered some 9v Batt Snap to centre Neg plugs from Ali Express... simple! and may help it run longer / or as simple back up as others may have a 9v for other effects etc.
  6. Got a picture of the dog wearing the string?.. Unique... should be able to go with any pup combo under there... JJ, PJ JMM PMM...
  7. @Andyjr1515 I am always impressed by you 'Get You Out of a Pickle' posts... Especialy following a 'stinky poo-Shame' response from those that should be helping. You certainly 'Know Your Onions'
  8. I got a couple of those in the shed... not sure what grit but look quite course... Your superfine are listed as 360-500 grit. The Nail Sponge looked useful in the hands of an ameture as a lighter grit and with buff n polish sides... Didn't want to take too much off, especially the neck with the Mapel Fretboard with Blocks, as it has got a bit of a tint finish.
  9. Quick 10 min Sunday Job... Odd sharp fret end and hard edge on the bitsa necks... For some reason i came across theses 4 Way (Sand,Smooth,Buff,Polish) Fret Dressing Sponges in Superdrug... A bargain at £1.99 or 2 for £3... https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Nails/Manicure-%26-Pedicure-Tools/Nail-Files-and-Buffers/Superdrug-4-way-Nail-Buffer/p/785413 Did a Luverly job... spongy so you can crease for better shapeing, smoothed the fret ends and light-rolled the fretboard edge.
  10. Width?.. Something from Ali Express to start with?
  11. Senny's HD 206... £25 Budget, Over Ear, Great Sound, 3m lead so loads long enough to run from the Zoom on the floor or Combo in the corner. Sennheiser HD 206 Stereo Headphone https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N7S0IPR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_i_6SZYDJ5QAXYDJVY6K23T Fair bit of love for the budget Senny's hear(!) on Basschat
  12. Watching with interest.... Enough plastic 'meat' to file a bit off the cable YSB socket to clear the switch.
  13. When waiting on strings for a secondhand bass i gave the old ones a wipe with lighter fluid (didnt have any isoprope) and stuck em in the diswasher... to rack obviously. More a splah n steam clean rather than immersion...
  14. Watching The Grass Grow - Inner City Unit / Hawkwind
  15. Denim... cut up pairs of jeans from a charidy shop!
  16. To get more of a prominant center feel, try smaller knobs, or less grippy, less prominent knurl... that way you have less leaverage to overcome the center 'notch'... Although speed knobs are smooth they are quite large. Ibbys tend to use smaller knobs on the EQ pots Grub Screw or push on? I love the Full Dome Vanson, nice weight and quality feel, have them on my 3 Bitsa's... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-NEW-Vanson-Domed-Knobs-for-TL-guitar-Push-On-Chrome-Black-or-Gold-VP001-/120883790899?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 Vanson also a couple of non std OD sizes...
  17. Looking back over this thread, a lot of pics are no longer available... Love the body shape and the 'tiered' top half and Rick and Thunderbird esq center. Is their a particukar reason your design is not Thru Neck? Can we have a closer pic of the Feather / Scale top bout... Please? Wonderful Work.
