1. Ari is one of the top sellers in the world. Have a bump from me for this wonderful bass.

I am really tempted as it has exactly that spec I am currently looking for. Just hesitating to increase the number of brands here...

But still considering an offer ... hm.

Pick up dates would be on the bottom of the pick up - assuming they remembered to date them!
No, 1963 pickups were not dated at all. They should have black bobbins and maroon coloured coil wires. Solderings should be untouched. The black covers should have a more satin surface instead of a glossy one.

3. Selling this rare Smith Fretless 6er with a beautiful Morado top and back.

Specs:
Morado Top and Back
5pc body wings,
Macassar Ebony lined fretless board
5pc through-neck, 34 scale
18mm string spacing at bridge
Weight: 5,04 kg /11.1 lbs
Gold Hardware
Birth year: 2000
OHSC

This wonderful Smith was built in 2000 as number 1900 - I have a confirmation from Ken that it was originally sold to Marcus M.

Very good condition ! Virtually MINT except of 2 dents in the area of the upper horn around the strap lock, and a small dent in the inner curve of the upper horn ... Very light wear on the board from playing with Roundwounds a few hours. The finish is a special matte one which Ken recommends for his fretless basses. It is different from the regular Elite gloss finish - but it is indeed an Elite model.

This Fretless provides the typical fusion fretless sound - it can sing in ballads and also delivers a quick attack if your fingers are digging in.

Comes with Original Hardcase in very good condition, and tools.

Asking 2.670 GBP / 3.500 EUR / 4.050 USD plus shipping. Bass is located at Duesseldorf / Germany. No trades please.

SOLD

4. Price drop per Jan 5th.

Selling this Emperor 5 with Chestnut Burl Top - which is not available anymore.

Specs:
Chestnut Burl Top
Honduran Mahogany Body
3-pc Maple neck
Flamed Maple tone block
Ebony board
36 scale
Black Hardware
19mm spacing at bridge, adjustable +/- 0,5mm
Bartolini Split Coils in soapbar covers
Hazlab preamp
Weight: 5.07 kg / 11.17 lbs.
Serial E5N9xx
OHSC

This bass has a retail price of >11.000 USD (+shipping and customs). It is a 36" scale and probably not comfortable for everybody. But it balances well on the shoulders and provides a huuuge B string. These older 90s Foderas have their unique own charme, play extraordinarily well and have a nice smooth flavour in the sound.

A few dings and dongs here and there but nothing to show in pics. The frets are still even and the action could be set too low without buzz. Bridge looks worn but works fine.

Chestnut is one of the most sought after Fodera top woods - unfortunately extinct now. Honduran Mahogany has been used until about 2003 as body wood and was preferred for its rich tone. It has become unbelievable expensive now and will not be available for Fodera bodies anymore.

19mm spacing at bridge, adjustable +/- 0,5mm
Fodera Dual Coils with Ebony covers
Matching Ebony Ramp
Pope preamp
Weight: 4.8 kg
Serial MG524xxN
OHSC

This bass has a retail price of >12.600 USD (+shipping and customs). Condition is very good - probably some scuffing on the surface but no dings or dongs.

This is a wonderful resonant and explosive, yet organic sounding Matt Garrison Signature. Action could be setup extremely low without buzz.

Asking 5.200 GBP / 6.500 EUR / 8.200 USD plus shipping. Bass is located at Duesseldorf / Germany.

I am looking for a cash sale. Trades considered are:

Ken Smith 5 Fusion Elite 25th Anniversary Fretless

Selling this super rare 25th Anniversary Fretless Smith 5er. Probably the only FE25 ever built as a fretless !

Specs:
Premium Bubinga Top and Back
Fusion Body Style
7pc body wings, Fretless Ebony board with wooden lines
7pc through-neck, 34 scale
Satin Finish
Gold Hardware
Birth year: 2010
OHSC

The 25th Anniversary basses are the all-time top of the line models from Ken Smith. Ken himself mentioned in his own forum that he doesn't know what to do better to design a 30th anniversary model. The 25th line is now discontinued and no longer evailable. The very last one was built 2013 with number 52.

The condition is virtually unplayed ! Only very minor wear on the board from a few minutes (!) playing with rounds. Absolutely no wear on body and neck ... the bass and the case even smell new ! The bass is a joy to play, to feel and to hear - masters fingers assumed ... The fretless board is factory original, not a conversion !

GONE

9. Just to be sure: I won't confirm from the low level pics that this is an original CAR finish. One of the pics let me tend towards an ugly spray can job instead of an old Nitro with checking and crackles. Any interested player should have a close look before going ahead here. But selling orange as a custom custom custom colour is one of the never ending fake stories among hundreds. The original finish could be clearly identified in hidden areas. In most cases these exotic custom colours like Salmon Pink, Tourqoise, Orange, whatever, could be identified as heavily faded from Fiesta Red, LPB or CAR ... if original at all.

The other Orange Metallic ? Even Stevie W. would identify this as a fake.
