1. Just received an Epifani 210 UL Series 1 from Donovan - super fast, in top condition and very carefully packed ! Thanks Donovan !
2. Played exactly this particular bass a few days ago. Wonderful ! No issues ! This should find a good home ! Free bump from me for a wonderful bass and a great seller ! Good luck !
3. Hi Ari, thanks for your kind comments. I received this bass from the (likely) first owner from Switzerland. I was told that he purchased it new in the 90s at a local shop. Anyway - these are amazing basses !
4. Up for sale again. Unfortunately I ran into some serious issues with my home and have to gain some funds for a repair... So it's back in the market again. No trade offers please. Asking 3.900 EURO firm plus s/h.
5. Ken Smith BT 6 Elite G - Premium Ebony Top Specs: Premium Ebony Top (becomes more and more a rare find) Figured Walnut Back (this quality would be used for tops today !) Figured Macassar Ebony board 34 scale 18 mm spacing Gold Hardware Birth year: 1989 An exceptional Smith in every aspect. These Ebony topped Smiths are the cream of all wood combos available from KS. Deeper than all others and very articulate and responsive. Bass has been played a lot but very well cared for. Some wear and dings/dongs all over the body but as you can see in the pic nothing that makes this wonderful bass less desirable. Super fast and low action ! These older BT's have a real through neck. You can see the difference to newer models on the back: The newer Smiths have a soundblock laminated to the back of the neck, the older ones are produced completely through the back too. The reason for change is simple: the older version needs a lot more wood in ONE piece and much more effort to produce, the newer necks could be sawn out of smaller pieces. These less laminates for the neck open the sound of the Smith and reduce the compression which is often inherent to newer models. Comes with Original Hardcase, also worn to some degree but in fully working condition. Bass is located in Germany / 40547 Duesseldorf. Asking 2.950 Euro. No trades at the moment as I really need cash (the one and only reason for offering this wonderful piece). 6. SOLD and shipped.
7. I apologize for that but after selling the other basses I offered, and after playing this bass again in a rehearsal with a band yesterday I decided to keep it. At least for now. Thanks for all interest and your kind words.
8. Pot codes added in initial post...
9. Just realized that I missed two details: 1) The original bone nut has been replaced with a brass nut...2) The clay dot on the highest fret position is lost.
10. I am NOT sure about the decal to be honest... It can't be proven wrong as well. My suggestion is that the decal has been probably stripped (or at least partly stripped) like the whole bass. The previous owner sprayed some lacquer over it, so it is impossible to determine the truth. About the decal itself: These decals are found sometimes on 63 basses. It's a bit funny because one of the patent numbers has been assigned definitely not before 1964 ... But anyway - the clay dots, the Rosewood board, the neck stamp ... I can't believe that this could be a fake. At least the original clay dots have never been considered as reproducable...
11.
Mint, with scratches and fading hardware... Still an extremely beautiful bass!
I have dropped the word MINT from the post. Satisfied ? I only wanted to post everything about the bass which a potential buyer should know. But basically it is - in my eyes - in MINT condition. ... Perhaps I should write showroom condition ? Anyway. I am not in a rhetoric workshop here... I think you all get the point from the description.
12. I had this withdrawn for a while, but I decided again to sell it. So ..... still available :-)
13. Up for sale again cos I need some cash for home repair...:-((( Fender Jazz Bass 1963 stripped natural Pre-CBS Jazz Bass in perfect working condition, body, neck and head stripped to natural. No issues ! - Original curved Rosewood board with clay dot markers (one clay dot missing) - Original sunburst colour has been stripped to natural and partly repainted (lousy job by the way)) - All-original Hardware (except: bone nut replaced by brass nut) - Original pickups with correct maroon wire, strong output - Original electronics (codes from 63), original Bakelite knobs - Truss rod works perfect, truss rod screw still flush with the neck end and obviously barely used - Perfect straight neck, no ramp on the upper 5 frets - Neck stamp 7 Apr 63 A - Pot Codes 304-6320 - Original tortoise four-ply pickguard - Original Pickup covers with small holes and correct screws - Original fingerrest - Serial L05xxx - Weight: less than 4kg - Frets seem to be original, but they are in very good condition, which might be subject to discussions due to the age and the usage of the bass. IF it has been refretted - this was a great fret job. The bass plays like butter and sounds like a charme - as you would expect from a very very good pre-CBS. It is in every single attribute a wonderful example of early Fenders. Detail pics on request. Please serious buyers only - no pic hunters... I'm asking 3.900 Euro firm plus shipping/handling. Bass comes in non-original, no-name case. Absolutely no trades - don't even ask please. This bass is rated in the 2012 Vintage Magazine Guitar Price Guide at 8.000 - 11.000 USD. 15. Ken Smith Elite 5 20th Anniversary Flamed Redwood Top - SOLD Specs: Flamed Redwood Top Tiger Maple Core Macassar Ebony board 34 scale 18 mm spacing Gold Hardware Birth Year: 1999 The 20th Anniversary basses are highly sought after in the market. Not only because Ken does not offer Redwood tops anymore, but also for their specific sound and collectibility. Redwood is known as a premium tonewood for guitar tops. Please see Ken's page for the history of these basses. Only 25 5-strings had been built with this spec. http://www.kensmithb...nniversary.html This bass has been played a lot yet well cared for. Some dings and dongs all over the body but nothing major. The sound of this particular bass is very responsive and organic. Smiths are always cutting in the mix. I have owned more than 20 Smith Neckthroughs in the past and this is one of the 4-5 best ones. Comes with Original Hardcase. Bass is located in Germany / 40547 Duesseldorf. SOLD
16. Wow ! Another breathtaking bass from Ari ! Good luck with the sale - although I believe you don't need it. This bass will be sold in hours I guess ...
17. Still available !
18.
34' scale length; might be a bit of a stretch for me. 'tis a beauty though.
Really ? "It's all in your hands" (today mostly unknown bass player) I thought double quotes are for double basses only OK, let's say 34" ... we in Germany are usually not well experienced in UK units, not to say I'm a bit sloppy using them ... mea culpa ! Thanks anyway for posting
19. This bass is still for sale. Open for some trades (even with cash your way): F Bass Fretless Celinder J Update 5 Ken Smith Elite Fodera (no NYC)
20. I received this bass in a trade and never spent more than a few minutes with it - until today. This bass is really rockin' and a slapper's delight ! I used to own a Series 2 Alembic and that bass sounded a little bit "electric" for me. The Rogue has a different timbre. More towards a Celinder with a quick response and a midrange that cuts in the mix. No glassy highs or boomy lows. Players who love a more chunky Preci-like neck but with a modern Celinder-like sound should give this a try. The Rogue plays comfortable and hangs balanced on the strap. And it weighs 4.2 kg ! Open for offers.
21. Thanks to all of you :-))) I forgot to mention the scale: It is a comfortable 34' !!
