The new Low album (from which this is taken I think) is album of the day on 6music today.
Interesting new sound from Low methinks, based on the couple heard so far. Good that they are not stuck in a rut even after all these years.
Yes, it that will ruin it for the audience, so make him stop.
Even worse is if what he plays gives a 'spoiler' of what the next song will be. Really really stop that.
Sunburst? Nay, nay and thrice nay!
Daphne Blue? Yay, yay and thrice yay!
Surf Green? A single Yay.
To paraphrase Ian Dury in S&D&R&R: Sunburst is such a pity.
For those not familiar with much Hip Hop there is a four part BBC Radio 2 (yes Rap is Radio 2 now!) series by Romesh Ranganathan (yes the comedian!) where he gives a pretty good intro... the first one has expired and the second only has three days left

I think of rap as just the vocal style, and hip hop covers the instrumental music and other cultural elements.
and yes not all rap is hip hop. For example you could think of Johnny Rotten as rapping, but not the Pistols as hip hop.
I purchased the new album by "Sault" yesterday... here's London Gangs. I think it counts as rap.....:
They are one of those 'anonymous' outfits, but I think one of the people behind Sault produced the Little Simz album.
Ha Ha, when I saw the thread resurrection I thought to myself that I could post Little Simz 😃... you're ahead of me!
I think everything I've heard by her has been great.
Sounds like you were just being honest and trying to manage expectations. But then maybe that made them think you’re not the right fit….. which may or may not be correct.
The opposite approach brings to mind a phrase which has entered the lexicon recently “fake it till you make it”!
Yep, still in working in working condition! Now one of my kids has left home I’ve got room to keep it permanently out of the lost, do hopefully I can not get rusty again.
I'm willing to hold my head high with the banjo, but draw the line at clip-on tuners while performing (it's OK while you're actually tuning... then unclip it!)
