  1. I think Ken/Craig got the last laugh though..... didn't he become very successful behind the scenes of music?
  2. Hhhmm - pretty thoughtless move by the school there. And unfortunately it was ever thus.
  3. The beige ones just look wrong against the colour of the bass. Go chrome!
  4. Here are some other case of cover stars suing (with varying degrees of legitasamy) A Brief History of Musicians Being Sued by Their Album Cover Subjects | Pitchfork
  5. The Ramones were certainly not amongst the punk bands who included reggae songs or reggae-inluenced bass-lines😃.
  6. Thanks.... I saw the post in time and set the recorder. Looking forward to finding some 'me' time to watch it!
  7. Fair enough if he does a few recreations and dines out on it for life, but suing is totally out of order. Typical of the litigious culture in the States..... which reminds me of this by The Yeastie Girls (recorded even longer ago than Nevermind):
  8. And if the old mix becomes unavailable, most of have a reverb pedal or plug-in we can set to “max”👍
  9. I don’t watch many films - What’s the reference here?
  10. Indeed. When I saw it I thought ‘this is going straight to off topic’😃
  11. From around 2006 - CSS - Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above: I used to love this album at the time..... about time for a re-listen!
  12. Thanks! “The First Time” is a good show, but I have not heard the Charlie Watts episode - but will put that right soon. Same for DID…. I took a look at the track list though, and was not too surprised to see there was nothing in the Stones-ish genre in there.
  13. And another: !!! (as any fule kno, "!!!" is popularly pronounced "chk chk chk", although any three repetitive sounds is legit)
  14. Around the end of the last century there was a bunch of bands doing a sort of post-punk/funk-punk kind of thing. One of them was Radio 4: I'll follow with at least one more.
  15. Fad Gadget has passed me by somewhat , so I listened to @Leonard Smallspost without comparison the the original. Gave it a 'like'. Now I've listened to the original plus a couple more. Good stuff also. Thanks both!
  16. Some people were saying in a different thread(s) they don't like Hacket's singer. Maybe that's not a viewpoint shared by all. Why wouldn't you like to see the Genesis shows (out of interest)?
  17. I guess either show will be a bittersweet experience for a Genesis fan🙁
  18. I’m liking the dark theme. However……… on my iPhone when I get a notification thingy at the bottom ( eg someone has replied, someone has reacted etc) I’m struggling to ‘press’ it, and end up making B I hating some other way. maybe it’s just me and my fat thumbs!
  19. I notice Jon Moss is not in the promo pics - some kind of falling out I understand.
  20. So I've used pitch correction, and seen the 'blobs' produced by melodyne analysis. They tell you the nearest note of each blob , and how many 'cents' it was off. My question is how many cents off would a typical 'good' singer be most of the time? Are they pitch perfect, or just close enough? And what is close enough? (Not necessarily rhetorical questions.... if anyone has an answer would like to hear it!)
  21. No, neither as performer or punter. My main band is now drummerless and the other guys don't want to carry on - so no gigs forthcoming. My other band - maybe I'll hear something from the BL. As a punter I already missed one as the rescheduled date clashed with a rescheduled holiday. First world problem! I have a few 'delayed tickets' , I think one is coming up soon. Double jabbed, but still nervous about the old infection rate.
  22. Maybe a bit peeed off that it's the Steve Jones story and not the John L story.
