  1. It would be ideal for someone in a 70s Glam tribute band.
  2. I think a Mac mini is a good way in to the M1 world if you already know that a desktop solution is enough for you. If recording is the main focus then this is almost certainly the case. I went for the Air because I like having a portable device for other reasons but I’ll probably add an external monitor, keyboard and mouse at some point to give me the best of both worlds. A large hi-res monitor would be better for using Logic.
  3. @Reggaebass this may be of interest to you? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Fender-Precision-Bass-Guitar-Usa-1972-With-case-Great-Condition-/304063911735?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  4. Nice bass lines though.
  5. Julia Hofer said this was an uncomfortable bass to play. can’t think why 😂😂
  6. How about “Skazz”?
  7. Could it be playing with your thumb by the bridge with fingers resting on the body between the G and the controls?
  8. This is stunningly beautiful ! I love the attention to detail, in particular the top knob with the flash of lighter ebony to match the body.
  9. This ^^^ Touch interface for consuming. WIMP interface for creating.
  10. Here’s another review I came across a couple of days ago. I was impressed by how good it sounded and it seems like it would be a fun thing to have lying around just to pick and noodle about on.
  11. Yes, I think they’re locating lug holes rather than screw holes. If the original tuners were like mine they don’t have screws.
  12. It looks ok to me. My 2005 MIA p bass with Z51… serial number has a hex truss rod adjustment nut.
  13. I think this may have been posted elsewhere before but it’s worth repeating here: https://hazeguitars.com/blog/the-perils-of-bad-neck-shims There are several other articles on this subject on his blog too. Worth a read.
  14. Not seen those before. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re the same as the adagios in a different packet. I’ve no need for any more at the moment as I’ve got a set of La Bella low tension flats winging their way to me, otherwise I’d try them for comparison.
  15. Good shout on the “offer” price.
  16. Well, I can say it works just fine, no issues at all, but I’ve not had chance to stretch it’s legs yet as I’ve been too busy with work in the run-up to me retiring on Friday. Next week though will be different matter, unless my wife has other plans, which I suspect she has! 😂
  17. Indeed they will. Imagine what the market for vintage Fenders will like. Better invest now! 🤑
  18. If the world population grows over the next 30 years at the same rate as the last 30 years, there will be circa 3bn more people on the planet. This is the unsustainable elephant in the room. Economising on laundry baskets or basses isn’t going to matter a jot. We’re all screwed.
  19. Can’t argue with that 😉
  20. 🙋‍♂️Surely it’s just n+1<S (assuming you’ve already met the minimum value of n=3)?
  21. Get a set of Adagio flats off eBay for less than £15. I tried some and was impressed by how good they are.
  22. Bounded optimisation. It’s the future 😉
  23. Those white pickup covers really look the part. How does it sound with the slanted pickups? Do you have any comparison with a standard Jazz?
  24. I watched the Alan Hull documentary last night. Really very good 👍 Apart from the obvious Fog on the Tyne, there were so many other familiar songs that I’d not attributed to Lindisfarne, let alone the fact that Alan Hull was the centre of that band. It was good to shine a light on his musical genius.
