1. Join the Warwick forum and ask. I'm unsure about BO 'W' necks but someone will be able to guide you I'm sure... just don't expect an instant response as the turn-over is a lot slower than BC!
2. Sadly wrong end of the country as I'd like to have given this a looking at.
3. It is actually very appealing in the flesh as there is no ugly pick-up to spoil the aesthetics!
4. I'm due to pop over to yours this week for those Warwick parts; at that price (and weight) it'd be daft for me not to have a look at this. Speak soon.
5. Thanks for the kind words people. Sorry I should have mentioned in the thread that the nut width is 40mm or 1 + 9/16ths in old measures! Nice and slim but rock solid stable (thats carbon for you). I should add that the carbon neck feels no different under the hand than any other finished neck.
6.
I don't think so and have just changed per Neephied's suggestion to head to cab to cab. It has made no difference to the sound but would perhaps address any phasing issues. Next step is to try a different cab / cabs and see what happens then.
'If' your leads are wired out of phase, switching how you plug the cabs in would make no difference. The phase issue can be discounted if you used the same leads with the same cabs when you were using the TC amp. "do I need to buy some 4ohm cabs? Am i only getting 250 watts from each cab due to them being 8ohm cabs?" - The difference between getting a few more 100w out of your amp using different cabs is a LOT smaller than you imagine. A generalisation is that to get double the volume, you'd need TEN times the watts... to be twice as loud as 100w you need to be using 1000w! However, stuff like cab sensitivity etc plays a lot bigger part. I think you've nailed that you just need to establish if your Glock is duff!
7. Your speaker leads aren't out of phase are they? They shouldn't be if they work fine as a pair with the TC but have you tried to swap backwards/forwards to check?
8. All the advice is already given above but one thing I would say is that you can't ever compare one amp's volume to another by where (comparatively) you have to turn the dials to! Trace were the classic example of this whereby BANG everything was loud in the first couple of clicks of input/output gain... but after 30-40% of travel you didn't 'really' get much more volume. Conversely, H&K's bassbase range of amps required a lot more input gain to get to where a Trace would be BUT it did get louder once you'd matched/set the input gain correctly.
9.
That's a fabulous picture John!! GLWTS
Wish I could claim it as my own but it's our very own WoT who wanted to give it a try during a local BassBash!
10.
I have seen this. Which is similar to Aria, but not so expensive. http://www.ebay.co.u...1UAAOSwzgRW1QUD I do need something that can be knocked about a bit due to the odd locations I go to.
It'll do the same job but a used Aria will be a better bass AND the Aria 'bodywork' / tubing is really good for sitting and playing.
11. Another vote for the Aria Sinsonido. The fact that the preamp has enough welly to use headphones is a bonus and it is full scale yet light! The body extensions make it really comfortable and 'normal' to play.
12. I've had a few queries, which might be easier to answer here. Controls - Vol/Bass/Treble/Piezo vol. The piezo which I think they call 'Icetone' can be added to the Lightwave but not used in isolation. Tone - If you are using a Precision or Jazz as tonal benchmark then it 'probably' has more leaning to the J than the P... BUT it has it's own tone which is oddly similar to the Zon Sonus I had with a pair of Bart J pups. I have to say that the sustain and harmonic content are what lift it above comparing it to other basses. Neck dimensions - slim, defo more akin to a J or early Warwick. If you like a big clubby neck this is no good.
13.
Do different strings make any difference to the tone? I'm guessing gauge would make more difference than material?
You know that's an interesting point! I've swapped 'normal' strings on the bass and I can't for the life of me think that I've ever made note of differences in tone. I suppose in theory the sensor tracks the string movement and each type of string will have it's own inherent qualities so they will sound different but I would likewise think that old strings shouldn't sound different to new strings... if a buyer wants to play, I've a few sets of used but as new strings (inc flats), which you can experiment with.
14. Spector Euro neck is more akin to a P bass neck (generalising) but there are so many differences to a Jazz that you have two VERY different basses!
15.
Been thinking about one of these lately, il be more than a bit tempted if any of the stuff i have up sells and this is still here...
Just give me a shout if you want info/details.

17. The bass and cabs are NOT for sale so please don't ask. Excellent condition, not long since serviced. Comes with Boschma case. 750 watt @ 4 ohm (975w @ 2 ohms which it will do... but your ears will bleed) with huge amounts of headroom. Low on fancy bells and whistles, you don't get presets or built in tuners BUT you do get loads of 'tone'! Genuinely sorry but I'm not going to courier to anybody/anywhere (not chancing damage) but I'd imagine if you want to own one of these you'd come and collect any way (NE England) OR there is a slim chance I'm travelling to the Midlands during the next week or so. http://www.aguilaram...nuals_db750.pdf Features: Active/Passive inputs: Start by using the passive input. If your bass’s output distorts the input section, switch to the active position. In the active input, a 10 db pad in the signal path will remedy the situation. Volume pot: This pot controls the gain of the preamp section. Clean sounds are usually achieved by setting the input gain around 11 or 12 o’clock. A little bit of musical distortion will occur if set past one or two o’clock. Equalization: Treble: Tube driven shelving type, boosts up to 12 db. The center frequency is set at 4 kHz. Bass: Tube driven shelving type, boosts up to 12 db. The center frequency is set at 40 Hz. Midrange: Tube driven shelving centered at 400 Hz. Deep Switch: The deep switch adds 3db of broadband boost at 30 Hz. Bright Switch: This switch is passive RC pre-emphasis circuit at 5-7 kHz. The bright switch will add a brighter timbre to the entire range of your bass. Effects Loop: The Send pot is push/pull for line or instrument level. This allows you to use a studio effects unit (line level) or a stomp box (requires instrument level) in the FX loop. Adjust the amount of send so as to get maximum performance from your effects unit. The parallel/series pot is push/pull for parallel or series operation. In the parallel mode affected signals are mixed to the dry sound. In series mode the entire sound of your bass is processed by the effects in the loop. The amount of effects can be adjusted with the return pot. If you pull the return pot out for series operation without any effects plugged in the loop, the loop will be open and no sound will result. Master Output Control: This pot controls the output level to your power amp. XLR Balanced Output: Use the –30dB pre-eq setting in a concert situation where the house mixer is taking a signal into the house-mixing console. The house mixer is now getting his feed after the preamp stage, but can use appropriate eq for the venue. The eq on stage will still be controlled by your settings. If the house mixer wants your eq settings included in the mix, set the control to –30 post eq. The – 30 level is correct output level for going into a preamp on a mixer. Our balanced output uses the highest quality Jensen output transformer. If you hear any ground noise, change the position of the ground lift switch under the output OUTPUT INTERFACES: Rear Panel: Speakon Connectors: Two speakon connectors are provided. Use 12 gauge or larger speaker cable for proper connections. FX Send: Connect the input of your effects unit to this output. FX Return: Connect the output of your effects unit to this input. Footswitch: Use the Aguilar footswitch to mute the signal for silent tuning (not supplied). Preamp out: Full range preamp output allows you to run into another poweramp in conjunction with your DB750. Poweramp in: The DB750 can be used as a stand alone poweramp or for slaving two DB750s together. Tuner out: A ¼ inch jack that sends a signal to your tuner. 19. This is the reason I ask for the actual weight of a bass a seller has; often manufacturers weight can be out by a pound either way... yes potentially 2lb difference between identical basses. I have 4 Warwick Streamers the lightest is 7lb 7oz the heaviest 9lb 3oz and my saga to find a light weight Lakland identified identical model basses that exceeded the 2lb differential.
20. I'm another who'd advocate more speaker displacement over throwing more watts into your existing cab.
21. Yep it is what it says. Also has a replacement nut, extra pot (+ existing pot-hole filled) added poss for 3 band EQ (this would likely have been 2 band EQ in 1990), is it a top mounted output or is it a snapped off pot shaft? I'd ask about the line/potential crack from the 6th tuner. Pups may well be original as Barts were an option and the routing looks correct. Fingerboard is ebony as opposed to usual wenge but this could be a custom order bass due to it being an early sixer.
