You can fine tune EVERYTHING, but it means all those little grub screws get calcified and locked-down, then you spend 6 hrs on the web trying to find replacements. Those are my concerns with these things.

The only grub screws that seize are the ones on the saddles... which are no better/worse than any other bass and they all have them. The nut screws don't seize and I've never heard of the bridge adjustment bolts seizing. Don't imagine that the truss rod has to be kapput, there are loads without issue; the fact it doesn't have a volute doesn't mean that the truss rod can/will come out by tipping it upside down.
