    As an 'emergency' back-up I take a BBE preamp pedal (meant to be for acoustic but works well with bass), which would be DI for desk. I can't justify carrying a full blown amp just on the off-chance my amp might fail.

    The speakon is superior connection to a 1/4 jack (period). No output/scientific reason not to go amp > cab > cab but I prefer to take two outputs from the amp to the inputs of the cab; my reasoning is that should one lead fail I'd still have some output. If you did it amp/cab/cab and your fist lead between amp and cab #1 failed you'd be left with silence mid song/gig!

It could have been listed on here at £1500 and people would have Oooohed and Aaaahed but I doubt anyone would have put their hands in their pockets and bought it!

    [color=#1D2129]Lovely electro-acoustic, approx 10 years old. Plays nicely and I'm only selling as I've recently got a Taylor guitar. The colour is a bit more muted than it is in the first picture, more tobacco burst than the sunburst that it looks. Good but not mint/new condition; no major dings or scratches, I'm being honest about condition (it'll probably be better than I'm describing it)!     Also NE based here and unfortunately unless you are one of the (very) well established local bands you'll not get much more than you've stated... in fact £210 for a 3 piece is as good as you can expect. I've played in 3/4/5 (and even a 6 at one point) piece bands in the NE for 37 years and I'd say that the pub money is the same now as it was 30 years ago; if I get £60 per night these days I count myself lucky... once or twice lately we've averaged £40 per man!

    You've got everything from Rockbass to full blown Custom Shop and everything between; to describe them all is a tome. It would be easier if you had an idea of budget then you'd get a more concise/clear answer.
