1799 I think a while back
...and back up to that price! If he couldn't get £1500 I can't see him shifting it by putting the price up.
One of the best Warwicks I've ever seen. Save the animal bump
I'm actually in the process of putting my MM Sterling fretless up for sale (which I was going to keep as a cheaper alternative to this) and if that goes first I'll likely end up keeping this... I only need one fretless!

My basses have been suspended by neck hangers mounted on the wall for the last 20+ years and never had a problem!

Options To Refinish A Bass In The North West?
warwickhunt replied to bagsieblue's topic in General Discussion
This guy seems very well regarded. Haven't used him myself though... http://www.dwilsonguitars.com/
I've known and used Dave many times (as have lots in NE/NW), he isn't the cheapest but he is very good! -
Yamaha Bass for £10? Plus £10 shipping? (In theory)
warwickhunt replied to AndyTravis's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Certainly wouldn't think that it isn't a genuine cheapy Yamaha (were these about £110 new?) and I've given away better basses to charity... £20-£30 I reckon! -
All-new Geddy Lee custom Jazz!

I had to read the description before I realised what the body of the bass represented... and I bought the album when first released! -
Well that's well and truly told me off. I will sit in the corner facing the wall for one hour now. BC must be a very serious place for some people.

Which thread are you reading? I've read several positive comments and no commands or diktats. The overwhelming suggestion has been to try one.

You're well within your rights to make a prophesy of doom and gloom, but please don't berate the people who have contributed in a measured and constructive manner in the thread up to this point - I don't think that's fair.
Agreed! Added to which the OP started this thread asking for advice and some of which will be from haters/lovers of acoustic basses... in fact he will likely ONLY get advice from those two groups of people, so I'd expect on average for 50% of it to be negative!
My band have talked about doing a couple of "unplugged" or acoustic gigs. The guitarists have acoustics and obvioulsy the drums are acoustic. I though it would be cool if I was acoustic too...
You could be 'electro' acoustic but don't ever imagine that you would be loud enough to keep up with a pair of unamplified acoustics... never mind a drummer (even using brushes/hot-rods)! I play in a 4 piece acoustic group (no drums) using a Washburn AB20 and it has a nice acoustic tone that sits in with the acoustic guitars (we all plug into a very small PA) but there'd not be a cat's chance in Hell of competing if I wasn't amplified; even house rehearsals I need to plug into a practice combo when they are purely acoustic!

Tried photographing the side but the camera is useless in the present light but I can confirm the dots are where the frets 'should' be NOT between the frets as they would be on a fretted bass. They are white dots on the edge of the ebony board. If you still want pics, send me a PM and I'll see if I can get it sorted.

How much do warwicks make now? SS1 in Yorkshire
warwickhunt replied to LukeFRC's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
How much do warwick's make at the moment? This came up on my normal ebay browsing Odd one this... one photo, local pickup only, pretty crappy advert really - might be a good deal there for someone, my wife would kill me if I accidentally won another auction for local pickup! http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cdb3acc2a
It may have been cheap but not cheap enough to get a single bid! -

I've info on my old hard drive re. the EQ switches on those SD pups but it isn't connected up. A trawl of t'interweb should get you the info but essentially (IIRC) all 3 alter the EQ frequency response of the pups in various ways. -
Brian's a top bloke. Nice easy easy deal with Brian doing a bank transfer as soon as the deal was finalised.
