1. 'limited sound'...really! As to why would you fit them to a higher quality bass; If they sound great on a cheapy bass, imagine how much better they'd be on a good/active bass! In (semi)seriousness... flats will only sound as good as your fingers or as good as your amplification.
2. Anth came back to buy some other bits and bobs, top fella!
3.
if anybody buys but wants the original pups i would offer to buy the wizards please
The new owner may well have the Wizards for sale if you are interested.
4. Anth just bought a set of strings from me and he's an all round top chap!
5. I agree that you'd be hard pushed to beat Peavey for budget bass quality.
6. [s]New (box a bit bashed) set of strings (4 string) - £7[/s] WD Jazz scratchplate formerly fitted to a Fender 'Roadworn' bass, with a roadworn/matte look to the plate. £7 Both prices + Postage (will combine)
7. Loads of info on the net and it works fine on bass. I have a rack-mount tuner and this has basically been used to tune an electro acoustic in the house... about 5 times! Still boxed with plastic on screen and all paperwork etc.
8.
Thought you might have done !
Oh and sent him a message.
9.
There is of course the 'Search' function up in the top right hand corner - where instead of 'this topic' you can toggle to search for 'members' with the same name as the e-bayer!
Already sussed.
10. ...Oh and a name check would be appreciated!
11. Oddly enough I have one going out in Jan'... potentially leaving a wall hanger empty (two if I sell the LX).
12.
is that the photo that you've now taken down?
I've used the pic on BC before. BTW I'm not having a 'dig' at whoever used the pics and description, I was just as interested in asking about the damage to his/her bass.
13. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271344631967?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Contains a pic of my bass and description both taken from Basschat... is it a regular BCer?
14. A bump for those who are aware that Christmas is less than a week away and that this little fact isn't suddenly going to make buying a bass an issue!
15.
If I only had the money.....! ( I think it was me that fitted the wizards)
In fact I've just looked and I didn't get this bass from you! It certainly isn't the bass that you had for sale that had the extra relicing; so unless you had another RW that you fitted Wizards to it likely isn't yours. .
16. There is no option for a simple; 'I have tried a few/many of them and I do not like the sound that they exhibit'. 'I like my cabs with a tonal character/distortion/booty and the BF cabs don't give it'. ... actually it is very difficult to choose the words as they could be twisted/misinterpreted
17.
But... But.... The badge will be WONKY!!
Hmmmm not on the Autistic spectrum at all then?
18. I was also under the impression that if your item is presently for sale on here (so you'd have paid fees) then you could include a link BUT you couldn't simply post a link to an ebay sale of your item... is that not the case? It doesn't matter a jot to me as I'm not listing on ebay but clarification would be good.
19.
The only thing that bugged me a little about the 1126 is that it's squat, like the Berg 12s and Aggie DBs, so it's firing at your calves. Not a problem with a pair (that would sound massive..!) but if it was my main single cab, I'd get one in vertical configuration.
Vertical config... tip it on it's side you mean.
