1. I owned this bass for a lot of years (got it in 91 from original owner) and it plays and sounds superb.
2. I'm sure we'd have heard if he'd taken a bad turn. Every so often he does seem to drop off the radar, I'd imagine to crack on and sort out orders/builds etc. but he always surfaces shortly after. I'll ask about and see if there is any local craic
3. German made bass with all of the same hardware as the top of the line Warwick basses for Rockbass money... someone get it bought.
4. On the subject/description of the heft/punch etc being discussed; Dave Funk (designer of Thunderfunk amps [among others]) described it as some amps throw doughnuts whereas others cannonballs... or words to that affect!
5. Couldn't tempt Andy with a Warwick this time so he bought my Thunderfunk. Fine fella and no qualms trading with him at any time.
6. Aaaah just spotted 'TH'... you had the AG!
7. Did you not own the Aggie amp Michael?
8.
I've always read really good things about these amps and many times I've thought about getting one but I'm worried those 300 watts are not enough, I play in rather loud band Any ideas on how it compares, volume and tone wise, to heads like the Aguilar TH500? I'd run this amp through a Barefaced Super Twin
WoT is the man to 'subjectively' answer that.
9. Pete bought a rack case from me and a top guy, waited patiently for me to sort out packaging... milk cartons don't grow on trees!
10. My old band 'Jo James Band' might fit the bill perfectly. https://www.facebook.com/jojamesband?fref=ts http://www.jojamesband.com/home Their present bassist is also a BCer.
11. Ease up on the bumping mate.
12. Hmmm I believe that my PM offer is timed earlier BUT saying that I did ask for free carriage so you likely win Owen.
13. Relisted and sorted with no fuss. It appears if you don't opt for Int postage when listing, it isn't possible to amend!
14. Hmmm tried every which way to alter it but looks like it'll be a relisting job... just hope that sorts it!
15. You'd think so but it has been advertised for a while on the forum and despite a number of comments re. how low the price is, nobody has put their hand in their pocket! ebaying it with no reserve has got a bunch of forum members asking to bid on it but they can't seem to place bids. I'm not about to criticise them for not coming forward and buying it direct but if they want to stick a cheeky bid on then I'm quite happy to see what happens!
16. Listed a bass on ebay and I've had messages from the Warwick forum to say that potential bidders in Europe can't bid on my item... despite me specifying Europe is OK. I can only imagine that it is linked to something to do with them wanting to get their cut via paypal (which it seems European ebayers aren't 'forced' to use), can't find anything specific on ebay but does any one have any personal experience?
17. Don't be fooled, it isn't the £2000+ model with the carbon wrapped neck that he is hinting at it being, it is a later production run and IIRC these weren't much more 'new' than he wants used!
18. Newcastle has no interesting bands/musicians/songwriters or at least that aren't up to your standard; complete and utter total tosh... that is all.
19. Daft thing is it'd cost you a small fortune to buy them direct from 'W'!
20. Very hard decision Matt (VERY) but as I am no longer in a band that requires a backline (an acoustic bass into the small vocal PA is all I will nee for the foreseeable). 'IF' I go back to full on electric band gigging, I know I will kick myself for selling the amp and cab but no point in it sitting in the house unused.
21. I only need confirmation that the amp is defo sold and I have buyers lined up for all the other parts... here's where it all falls apart! LOL
22. No probs Rog. If you fancy the tuner (and the price suits both) and the case price suits Pete then I'm sure that I can sell the Auralex pretty easily. Speak soon.
23. If it can be collected/couriered on the same day as the cab that's possible but are you sure you don't need a tuner as well (save me having to start splitting the prices down further)?
