Time for a little ‘variation’...(maybe Spector?!)
warwickhunt replied to Musicman20's topic in Bass Guitars
You need a Dingwall in your arsenal... oh dear I seem to have one for sale! However, to address your original question - I've owned USA and Euro Spectors and I have to say that if you are looking at the Steinberger shaped models you may as well include the Warwick Streamer in your options; there are more similarities than differences and you may just find that the 'W' suits you better than the original... Spector! -
I'm pretty sure it's 20% (and that others charge 15%). So if Joe wanted £2k for the bass (for a simple example - not sure if this is the case), then it would be £2000 on BC, but £2400 via andyb' (and £2300 commissioned elsewhere).
However Joe wants £2300 for the bass so it would be £2760 with Andy's commission!

Fender MIJ 'Flower Power' 54 reissue P Bass. SOLD
warwickhunt replied to warwickhunt's topic in Basses For Sale
Hi Andy. I have a case or a gigbag that I could include (£30-£50 depending) but tbh if you weren't collecting in person then I'd recommend that I unbolt the neck and ship it as 'self-assembly'! I have to say that I've couriered basses in the past with no case or gigbag and with the neck attached, it isn't as secure as with the neck off but I've not had any problems in the past. -

Let's just say that you'd find one cheaper on this forum! Give me a minute...

Strap length! However, you don't say if it is right or left hand cramp. Saying that, strap height is still very relevant.

The Hohner Jack was defo 34" though.
I may be interested in parting ways with my Sonus 4. If anyone can be interested in...
Is that my old one? Do you have a pic

Can I run passive monitors on this setup?
warwickhunt replied to Kevsy71's topic in Accessories and Misc
That will have your amp working at 4 Ohms on each channel and chucking out (allegedly) 250W per channel.
I agree with what I 'think' HJ is alluding to here and that is that I'd be sceptical that the amp even put out that kind of power, measurements to get that rating can be interpreted as easily as statistics. -

I'd have said not, though the manual should confirm that. You are expecting a lot from a 250w RMS power section any way, though I assume you would be using it with something like an acoustic duo or similar. -
Johnny (the) Depp strikes again! Glad you enjoyed yourself, mate.
You know the lads Al, top class fellas and the drummerist (dep) was some fella; I've played/play with lots of good uns but at 24 hrs notice this guy was on the money and his chops were absolutely top draw.

That was a blast! Nothing like playing a medley of songs to have the guitarist/singer start a Zep track that you have never tried to play in your life... certainly focuses the mind. Saying that when you play with quality musicians it makes it much easier to 'busk' stuff. The AE212 is very efficient and gives out exactly what you put in. Different to my DB112s (expected) but easily the best of the Neos that I have owned/tried.

Depping tonight for a 4 piece local rock band... who also have a dep drummer tonight and some of the songs I'd never heard of before yesterday when I accepted the [s]gig[/s] challenge! So 24 hrs notice, 2 of the band have never even met the others before, I didn't know some of the songs before today, there are at least 2 x4 song medleys that segue together... Oh and I'm using my new Bergantine AE212 cab. Genuinely looking forward to this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeoMAuFS3pU

Newtone Platinums - What a difference a string makes...
warwickhunt replied to 4 Strings's topic in Accessories and Misc
Where along the string did it break?
+1 My concern would be that though they might be great strings it's a no brainer if the strings are gonna break; even just rarely! -
Amp power greater than cab power is risky.
In my experience only if the person using the amp is a tool. I've driven cabs rated at a couple of hundred watts (as little as 120w) with amps that can deliver 1000 watts+ (presently driving a 300w cab with an amp capable of 1600w RMS)... with absolutely no problem. If you are silly enough to connect a high power amp to a low powered cab, dial the gains on full and whack the strings then the result will be unpleasant but then refer back to my first point; you would be a tool to do that!

Your bass was made in Germany in 2007. As to value... your lowest price is pretty much what you will get. PLEASE don't make the mistake of contacting Warwick (no disrespect Warwick) and asking for a value; it is worth what someone will pay and a good way is to search on Basschat for past prices.

AE2x12 in-coming but not NV unfortunately.

The old 'Mint 66 Jazz for £1200-£1600' thread.
warwickhunt replied to warwickhunt's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
They have a vintage EB2 and a 1963 Strat as well..so is it a hacked account?
Yeh, the style of the listing content is generally the same on these hacked accounts, the give away is "so we will only use bank wire" for payment! That and the fact the item is at an unbelievably cheap price.
