Manufacturer: Washburn Model: AB30 Country of origin: Japan Body: Flame maple back, front and sides with cream binding inc rear centre Neck: Mahogany gloss lacquer Fingerboard: Rosewood Pick-ups: Original - Bridge piezo + magnetic humbucker Preamp: Original - front mounted Vol/Pan/Bass/Treble controls Hardware: Original - Chrome tuners. Rosewood bridge Finish: Original lacquered Case/Gigbag: Original AB shaped Washburn case Extras: N/A Weight: 6lb 11oz Positives: Excellent condition. No worming or dings other than one small lacquer ding on the side Negatives: Very low output, no idea as to why! Neck strap button moved approx 1" for better strap fitting Price: £250 No idea about the low output; it may be a simple fix, I have no idea, it still works but you need to boost your amp input. It really is a nice bass but I 'must' slim down as we are planning on a house move (downsize).

Manufacturer: Aria Model: Sinsonidia Country of origin: China Body: Mahogany - tubular, foam covered frame Neck: Maple Fingerboard: Rosewood Pick-ups: Original - Bridge piezo Preamp: Original - Vol/Tone controls. Enough output to easily drive headphones (not supplied but ANY do) Hardware: Original - Black tuners. Finish: Original Case/Gigbag: N/A Extras: N/A Weight: 4lb 5oz Positives: Excellent condition. Negatives: Depending upon which lead/jack I use the output occasionally drops out unless I tuck the lead up. Battery cover lost but bit of gaffa holds it in fine Price: £160 I've had this a couple of years and it really is an excellent bass with a surprising tonal range; you can go from upright to electric with a tweak of the tone control. I've taken this on holiday on several occasions. The body tubes uncouple and it can be played as a stick bass but the bonus is the headphone drive ability (most active basses don't have enough juice to drive normal headphones).
is yours a japanese one warwick ?
Yep! I've had USA Sadowsky basses before and 'personally' don't think that there is justification in paying almost double for a USA over a Jap Metro.

Aside from it being fake/genuine, I'd be concerned about that neck fault/crack!

£900 is a steal! I'm about to put mine up for sale and I'd not take a penny less than £1250.

Anyone know the whereabouts of this Warwick Bass

£1850 is SERIOUSLY extracting the urine! IIRC I sold mine for £700-£800 and that took a while to move. -

Is it specifically the 2002 Ltd you are after? They are a lot less common (and expensive) compared to the standard FNA Jazzman and the only real difference is the fancy body woods on the Ltd... save yourself 50% of the value and get the standard FNA JM. -

I've owned a few old Warwicks and I've never had a JAN that rattled or buzzed! -

Bought a quality speaker cable off Martin; great comms and promptly delivered, top fella.

I just powered up my Thunderfunk and one of my Aguilar 12's in prep for a gig tonight (recent change of band so this is my first gig for a month or more) and I have the dreaded 'speaker distortion/crackling'! First thought was a blown tweeter; turned it off but still apparent. I quickly swapped the TF for my spare amp and it was still there, so not my TF going funny, it must be the cab/driver. Grabbed the other 1x12 and swapped the lead out of the back of the other DB12... distortion still apparent! The chances of either both my amps and/or both my speakers generating the distortion are pretty damn slim so that only leaves one culprit... the Speakon speaker lead that I'd been using to test the amps/cabs! I dug out another couple of speaker leads and hey presto no distortion and one very relieved bunny. Amazing how easy it is to think worst case scenario and assume it is going to be a replacement speaker or amp repair. The scary thing is that I have literally just bought a one of OBBM's speaker leads off another BCer (to upgrade my 'lesser' lead that has just failed) and it should be here Mon/Tues.

I'd have thought possibly late 90's at the very earliest but a lot more likely 00's. There isn't much to distinguish between years after the late 90's but truss rod covers and nut type is generally a give away... and this has an original JAN, which I'd not have expected at all with that later style truss rod cover. I'd say one or the other has been replaced (possibly both) and I'd put money on the nut being a replacement due to the tendency for the later nuts to snap on the end clips. I do have to love the lack of detail about the bass in the listing text; one line out of ten says anything about the bass and even then it is just to tell you it is a SSI with one or two little dings... not a hard sell as such! -

Excellent! I've been after either one of these (possibly not the full blown German model) or more likely the SC version, for a while... inspired to look harder now!
Regarding the comment about the Wal increasing in value, I would disagree, a wal bought in 1986 for £800, now worth £2500, in real terms is still a loss, I mean £800 in 1986 is alot more than £2500 is today.
How so? After approx 25 years with inflation at about 3% your £800 would be about £1600-£1700... it'd be interesting to calculate what a new Fender Jazz should cost today compared to in 86 (using the 3% inflation) against what say a Warwick cost back then!
