£900 is a steal! I'm about to put mine up for sale and I'd not take a penny less than £1250.

£1850 is SERIOUSLY extracting the urine! IIRC I sold mine for £700-£800 and that took a while to move.

Is it specifically the 2002 Ltd you are after? They are a lot less common (and expensive) compared to the standard FNA Jazzman and the only real difference is the fancy body woods on the Ltd... save yourself 50% of the value and get the standard FNA JM.

I've owned a few old Warwicks and I've never had a JAN that rattled or buzzed!

Bought a quality speaker cable off Martin; great comms and promptly delivered, top fella.

I just powered up my Thunderfunk and one of my Aguilar 12's in prep for a gig tonight (recent change of band so this is my first gig for a month or more) and I have the dreaded 'speaker distortion/crackling'! First thought was a blown tweeter; turned it off but still apparent. I quickly swapped the TF for my spare amp and it was still there, so not my TF going funny, it must be the cab/driver. Grabbed the other 1x12 and swapped the lead out of the back of the other DB12... distortion still apparent! The chances of either both my amps and/or both my speakers generating the distortion are pretty damn slim so that only leaves one culprit... the Speakon speaker lead that I'd been using to test the amps/cabs! I dug out another couple of speaker leads and hey presto no distortion and one very relieved bunny. Amazing how easy it is to think worst case scenario and assume it is going to be a replacement speaker or amp repair. The scary thing is that I have literally just bought a one of OBBM's speaker leads off another BCer (to upgrade my 'lesser' lead that has just failed) and it should be here Mon/Tues.

I'd have thought possibly late 90's at the very earliest but a lot more likely 00's. There isn't much to distinguish between years after the late 90's but truss rod covers and nut type is generally a give away... and this has an original JAN, which I'd not have expected at all with that later style truss rod cover. I'd say one or the other has been replaced (possibly both) and I'd put money on the nut being a replacement due to the tendency for the later nuts to snap on the end clips. I do have to love the lack of detail about the bass in the listing text; one line out of ten says anything about the bass and even then it is just to tell you it is a SSI with one or two little dings... not a hard sell as such!

Excellent! I've been after either one of these (possibly not the full blown German model) or more likely the SC version, for a while... inspired to look harder now!

After approx 25 years with inflation at about 3% your £800 would be about £1600-£1700... it'd be interesting to calculate what a new Fender Jazz should cost today compared to in 86 (using the 3% inflation) against what say a Warwick cost back then!
