I'm definitely looking for ER15s for my earplugs. Do you still have a pair for sale?
Yes, if Owen takes a pair there are a pair left. However they are a 'natural' colour rather than transparent, not that it makes any difference but they are skin coloured as opposed to those photographed... unless Owen wants the flesh coloured ones as he has first refusal.

Warwick owners, especially Streamer ERBs... Help!
warwickhunt replied to Lfalex v1.1's topic in Repairs and Technical
Having read your threads in the past I'm certain that you're switched on enough to have reached the limits of the set-up on the bass! It isn't 'just' Warwicks that this can happen to; I've had a few very high quality basses where the limits of low action can be reached very quickly and you can't drop any lower. I've wondered whether manufacturers consider that their lower limit of set-up should be the absolute minimum that you can go and everything should be going higher from that... short sighted but defo not uncommon. I had an almost identical situation as yours and I had to do a lot of faffing (taking the whole bridge off to adjust then reinserting) to get what I wanted and wondered whether it'd have been better to have routed the body, however it would have been for the sake of a couple of mm... maybe not even that. Probably best just to compromise now! -
I am intending on uploading pictures and naming a price later this evening or tomorrow morning. In the meantime, I am open to offers and questions via PM or email. Thanks.
That's fair does mate (and I know you are a noobie ) but the forum rules are that you need to clearly state a price on your thread if it is in the sale section, rather than invite offers.
Wondered if rarity value counted for a bit more now.
You'd have thought so but don't go expecting a Ltd Ed to be worth multiples of the standard bass that it is derived from. The bass that Luke linked to used to be mine and it bought and sold at that kind of price several times, though there have been others offered for sale for more... not to say they sold! Personally I'd say that you have to just decide is it a bass you'd like to own at the given price and to hell with the perceived value; Warwick owners have to get used to the strange prices of their instruments because it all depends on who wants what bass and when! If the shop has flexibility in the pricing, enough to come down to the price of the one linked, then I'd go for it... if you don't then tell me where it is and you can buy it off me when it sells back on Basschat.
Cheers mate, yep I've clocked that. But it's got to go and I got such a low response when I listed it on Basschat before that I need to get the thing moving. I've stipulated cash only on e-bay due to a previous experience with a time wasting, budding and dumb fraudster, so that will avoid the paypal fees at least. I've got quite a lot of 'watchers' already on the Ebay site (starting bid is £650), so am hoping for a bidding war! If someone from Basschat gets in with a sensible cash offer (like £700!) first I'll end the e-bay listing early. Thanks for the heads up though. Jason
Ooof! I'd watch out for that 'Cash only' stipulation; strictly a no-no on ebay and something that they would pull your listing for sharpish! Added to which they can make you go through a poxy 'refresher course' before they let you list again, worst case they can suspend your account. -

Just an observation Jason but if your rig sellers on ebay for your start price you are going to be getting less than £600 for it! I'm not trying to tell you your business, just trying to give you a heads-up as you may not have given a thought to the various fees; the 10% final value fees and then potentially paypal fees means that you'd get shafted. -
I'm new to EUB and I'm plugging my NS WAV into a BBE 'Acoustimax' preamp (3 band EQ inc variable mid, notch filter and BBE Sonic Maximiser circuit), ot sounds fine but I've no idea what 'extra' a top quality preamp would give me... any thoughts?
It isn't a Police issue. It's a civil law dispute in regard to failing to comply with contractual terms. It is a small claims matter that can be dealt with the money claims online system as long as you are wanting a refund (You can't use the online system to obtain an Order for him to deliver up the goods. That is called "Specific performance" and is hardly ever ordered by the court anyway) If you have his name and postal address then you just fill in the form and pay the small court fee. The court serves the papers on the Defendant, he then gets 21 days to acknowledge it. If he ignores it then on day 22 you ask the Court to enter "Judgment in Default" If you still don't get an answer, then 14 days after that you fill in another form on the website and the Court sends the bailiffs in. The Court Fee gets added to his debt. Honestly - stop f***ing about and give him both barrels. While the offers of a fund from other BC'ers is lovely all it does is spread the loss over more people. It doesn't solve the problem.
I have to agree that unless there are behind the scenes 'active' movements, I'd go with this and to hell with getting the bass! The CCJ against Sean will scr3w any future chance of credit for him and affects all sorts of ratings that will impact on him directly, hopefully teaching him a well deserved lesson in life... which IMHO he doesn't 'appear' to be taking seriously.

can anything be done to fix a backwards bend on my basses neck
warwickhunt replied to stu_g's topic in Repairs and Technical
Is the truss rod as loose as it'll go? If not, loosen it (initially, no more than a 1/8 to 1/4 turn at most) and it should release the tension in the neck and remove the back bow. If it is as loose as can be adjusted, the bass needs some work
LOL synchronised typing! -

warwickhunt replied to stu_g's topic in Repairs and Technical
Slacken the truss rod right off and string tension should pull it forward, if that fails then with no tension on the neck you may need to apply pressure to the neck to bend it into a concave arc and then get the strings up to tension (probably best with the help of a friend). Failing that it is a luthier job to look at resetting the neck, possibly removing the fingerboard... probably not cost effective on a bass such as this! -
Hi all I have a Squier P bass Special which has a P/J setup and I was just wondering if anyone would fancy recommending an upgrade in the preamp department. I have heard good things about East preamps but I am unsure which one I would need as there seems to be one for Jazz basses and one for P basses. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Michael
Be sure that you love the Squier before you start going down that route Michael, as preamp upgrades aren't generally cheap and fitting something like you have suggested will cost almost as much as the bass is worth... and it won't mean that the bass will be worth significantly more with it fitted!
