1.
hey, I listed all of them in one post to allow the opportunity for someone to pick what they might want from the entire list, I wouldn't be able to do that if I separate the Items and place them within 3 different categories. If possible can those interested either send me an email to [email protected] or call/text me on 07912222127 and I'll send out the relevant pictures to you!
You'll still need to stick prices on mate!
 2. Bit of the Carl Thompson about it as well.
 3. 4. Keep this among friends but I've not properly fretted a note in 5 years; muted the strings and played a dull thunk in time with the required notes... no body has noticed yet!
 5.
Well, I have an December 2011 German made Streamer LX. The battery clip has snapped off in the first two weeks and the split precision pickups wobble so bad that I have had to take them out, wrap plumbers PTFE tape around the bolts and then re-screw them back into the brass slots to stop the wobble. I questioned this on the Warwick forum and it seems that i am not the only one who has had the wobbly pickups. This is on an £1800 bass that is brand new. Not sure I would call it a duff Warwick but its not the quality I was expecting for my £1800 and if I am totally honest, I am very dissapointed.
For the battery cover to snap off within two weeks of owning a new bass does seem extreme (I'm assuming that the battery was being changed for the very first time, so these clips went on the very first usage). It certainly isn't unheard of for the battery covers to give up the ghost (I presently have 3 Warwicks and one is taped on, whilst one of them is jammed in place) and is probably second only to 'chocolate fire-guard' jack sockets for common Warwick faults. As for the pick-up mountings - Warwick pups are mounted on springs (almost like shock absorbers) which have always had some give in them, I've known people add foam under the pups to firm it up and at the extreme for someone to put a block of wood underneath the pup so that it was fixed at a set height but it's down to personal preference and not everyone will like the 'spring-loading'... of course yours could have a separate issue! Saying all of that I have NEVER seen a Warwick with a misaligned/incorrectly fitted bridge or skew-whiff neck alignment... not something I could say about F*nd*r. In fact there's a brand new (Road-Worn) bass for sale on here at the minute that has this very issue and it must be the third I've seen on here in as many months. Now THAT I'd have issue with.
 6.
/ what's that? 31% increase? So a bass selling then for about £800, like a american fender.... would be £1050 now..... which is how much off the current prices? and a fender isn't made of rare and hard to get now tropical african hardwoods either.
A very good point and something often overlooked. Fenders have taken some serious price hikes of late; for instance a MIM RW bass would appear to be seriously inflated and pretty much inline percentage increase wise with the Warwicks being discussed.
Late eighties about £1200 - 1600 Early eighties.... more...
A lovely thought and some basses are 'advertised' at those prices but you can still find 80's - 90's NT Warwick basses on ebay for less than that! However... the state of the new prices means that values of older Warwicks will soon go through the roof!
 7. Not sure about exact models but I've never had any problems with soloed MEC Jazz style pups in the NT active basses and I doubt that would be different to the rest of the range. Not sure that any of the MEC J pups are single coil passive so it'll not be an issue.
 8. The non-original pup and what look like extra switches will affect the value to a degree.
 9.
I picked this up in a trade last year. It's a stunning bass, easily one of the most accomplised players I've owned or played - typical Spector neck, brilliant build quality, BadAss II and active EMG J-pickups. It's one of a limited run, I understand, to celebrate the original NS2 - available in three colours, with 82 in each. This being the natural model. Sadly, it's a bit of a 'unicorn' bass - it's nice, very nice. And seemingly limited edition. So I don't want to take it out of the box, which rather defeats the point in having an instrument. Was considering a trade, or a sale, but am totally blind to current values - I think they were $2,200 new, but that position will have moved on, and I don't know enough about Spectors to take a stab. Thoughts? I'm happy to be told I'm being an idiot, too.
It's a bit 'too' natural coloured... can't see it!
 10.
Ooh the Jack Bruce looks canny, I could defo fancy a fretless one of them :-)
+1 but what cost for a Korean made bass?
 11.
is there that much difference between the old 2 band preamps and whatever they stick in nowadays?
I'm not a techy type so I have no idea of the actual components but don't SSI basses now have 3 band? I had an old SSI, with an 'upgrade' to the newer 3 band which never quite worked for me and despite trying to leave the mid flat and just working with the B & T I never liked it, so I took out and put in an old 2 band and it sounded much better... just my opinion!
 12. So the 30th Anniversary is built to '84 specs BUT it has a two piece bridge and angled tuners... so it's based technically based upon an '87 model! Signed Mr P Dant
 13. Hey, pleased to see that 'heads-up' worked out in the end Wayne!
 14.
Upto 45lbs per cab doesn't concern me if the handle is good.
I was initially unsure of the one strap handle as the only means of holding them (especially with the weight that they are) but several years and numerous gigs later neither of my handles is showing any kind of fatigue or failure and I've no reason to think that will change!
 15. Have you tried/heard my Aggie DB12s? You might be surprised how little tone you sacrifice and you could use one at rehearsals with two for the gigs... giz a shout if you want to try!
 16. Downsizing... DOWNSIZING! Has that eye op' affected your back?
 17.
This is mighty fine , you don't see many of these around,, it would look great on the setee next to my others, http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cc102864b
I can only assume that you will NOT be bidding on the bass otherwise you'd not be telling the online bass playing community of the object of your desires!
 18. Hi Pete. Don't get hung up on the ext cab being a 1x15 for more bottom end; a 2x10 or 1x12 could just as equally give you the extra bottom end; in fact just adding an ext cab of ANY description will move more air, give you a lower load on the amp and increase the perceived bottom end. As to how you control the volume from each; there is no reasonable means to do this, you'd have to just suck it and see but just out of interest why would you need to attenuate one cab or the other. If your internal combo/cab is 8ohms and the ext cab is 8ohms you'd divide the load between them and only speaker sensitivity would dictate which sounded louder. All the more reason for getting a cab with the same size drivers as are in the combo.
 19. It's been said time and again that you can't categorically say that a 2x10 has more punch/top end than a 1x12 just as a 1x15 doesn't have more bottom end that a 1x12; it literally depends on the design, spec and quality of the units being compared. I've had umpteen people ask my if my cabs (Aggie DB112) are 1x15 as they have so much bottom end, I've also had people comment that you can tell the difference when a bassist puts his bass/backline through a PA that has subs... I wasn't through the PA at the time! Conversely I'm not saying that the Aggie or any 1x12 will slay any other standalone cab, it literally depends on the cabs being compared and you should take speaker diameter out of the equation. When you get into the realms of 4x10 v 1x12 then the physical size and volume of air, paired with multiple drivers WILL make a difference. The amount of bassists on here who have first hand experience of multiples of the same cab being greater than the sum of the parts is a good reason to look at doubling up on whatever cab you eventually get. One of my DB's sounds decent enough but when you stack a pair of them... then you hear/feel the difference. Oh and a tip for DB112 users; if you aren't likely to be barging and bumping into your backline, try stacking your cabs on their sides with something like the hard foam that they ship PCs in, cushioned between/around the handles, it makes an even greater difference when you get that second cab a little higher. 20.
And ehre is the same one again: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f12921c18 That gets a 'hmmm'.
More than one available? I'd think that WPD will be collecting so there's not likely much can be wrong... is there? If it does turn out to be kosher, Wayne can buy two! LOL
 21. No worries. Oh and I did eventually get 'Rita' the Sterling up to the NE!
 22.
Mine
Nice one!
 23. Too big and heavy for an owld fella like me but someone wanting a fridge style cab could do worse than £200 for a new Marshall 8x10... Yes/No? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Marshall-MBC-Series-810-1200W-Bass-extension-cabinet-Collection-Only-/290658050003?pt=UK_MusicalInstr_Amplifiers_RL&hash=item43ac91dfd3#ht_3044wt_1185 Nothing to do with me just highlighting a BIN listing that might suit another member.
 24.
No, my comment was in support of a sale and in support of a fellow bass player. Previous comments were, in the very least unhelpful. If a comment needs to be made about lack of clarity or ambiguity then surely a polite PM would be more helpful than filling a thread with negative chat. I won't respond further as I am obviously in danger of filling a 'sale' thread with chat ;0))))
However, I take the stance that open and public dialogue is the way forward and I'm a glass half full kind of person; as such I think that the comments so far have not been (at the very least) unhelpful nor negative, they've been perfectly appropriate and helpful. Oh and I have no such compunction to cease responding, as such your mate gets more bumps and it keeps him at the top!
