1. I think these were Korean made and retailed on-line by MusicYo but there are a few variations of this bass inc a USA pre-Gibson (a Tobias fan might be able to tell the various models and vintages apart but if it was sold as a Toby Pro 4 then I'd say that's your model) so you'd need to be sure before you started being emphatic about what you were selling because it has a massive impact on value! Use the search facility and you'll find that there are quite a few Toby Pro 4s have been up for sale, though you might need to take a seat when you see the prices especially if you were hoping to make back what your mate paid for it because they tend to be around the £250-£275 mark with one being as cheap as £150.
 2.
The workshop
DOH! Pet hate that, tell him to get some bliddy guitar hangers on the wall or at least invest in some kind of rack or guitar stands!
 3.
One in one out!
'One in one out'... yep tried that once or twice and it never quite went to plan!
 4. That has to be a good price for a NT Euro Spector with quilted top!
 5.
that get sorted yet?
I'll simply say that at least dialogue is opened and the bass is with a respected luthier! I've not started naming and shaming because I am well aware that mistakes and circumstances can happen; I'm giving my seller the benefit of the doubt just as he is giving me the benefit of the doubt (somewhere between him selling it and me buying it, these issues have occurred but 'blame' is a difficult thing to pin down)! The measure of a good seller is rectifying or remedying problems after all it doesn't take a great seller to simply take your money and send you a perfect item, a 'good' seller is one who sorts out issues or makes sure that there are no issues by going above and beyond simply putting a bass in a case and posting it.
 6.
... however i wouldn't put something up for sale or accept someone's money without telling them i couldn't post until a certain date.
Agreed!

 8. Can't quite figure why this seller as listed as many 'blank' ads! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Guitar-/310370861134?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item48438b804e#ht_500wt_1156 Anybody shed any light as to why he has dozens of identical listings that advertise nothing?
 9.
Move on.........How come???? Whats going on here?
Read post #11
 10.
Have you asked here: http://forums.parker...asp?FORUM_ID=11 ? What about this one: http://www.ibanez.co...ridge.htm#MR24K (search for Part# 2BB1MRP2K)? Mark
I searched the Parker forum and asked Parker direct but to no avail. The Ibanez one is defo different as the Parker is a Fishman unit, going to contact them Monday for price.
 11.
Here's a pretty in depth description of one on eBay (they're wrong about it being a roller bridge though, it just looks like one) http://www.ebay.co.u...c#ht_2465wt_811
I see how the roller bridge analogy can be made as you can use an allen key to 'turn' the saddle and adjust the string spacing. However, from the specs quoted the bass would float away if you took that bridge off! LOL
 12. Sold my Zon Sonus to Alex and it was a trouble free experience despite Alex being in Latvia! I worked with Alex re. payment (bank transfer) as the Latvian system isn't as easy as ours but there wasn't a problem and the funds were in the day that he said they'd be. Good communications make transactions like this so much easier and Alex is always on the ball. I'd heartily recommend dealing with Alex... in fact get his W&T bass bought pronto!
 13. Update - the guy looking at the Fly for me has confirmed it is a Fishman unit... now to find out if you can purchase individual saddle units! Anyone ever bought a single unit?
 14. The code that I've given was taken directly from the battery, there are a couple of other serial numbers etc. on there if it helps! I need a yay or nay back from Voxpop before I can offer elsewhere though.
 15. I have a Parker Fly bass with a dead E string piezo; it has been tested this morning and is defo an ex-piezo, deceased, shuffled off mortal coil etc! I contacted Parker a few weeks back re. this and they just got back to me to say that basically they couldn't help and don't manufacture this bass any more and as such couldn't supply a replacement. I have a feeling it is a fairly 'stock' bridge-saddle piezo as it looks outwardly identical to my Bolin piezo saddle but I'm no closer to knowing the manufacturer (though I'm certain the Bolin is a Fishman unit). Can anyone confirm the piezo type/make and/or recommend where I can get a replacement? Cheers.
 16.
I will check on mine tonight as my battery is now dead.
Do you think you'll need this?
 17.
Eat Em & Smile was and is awesome. Shyboy. wow. oh bloody good god...
That track pre-dates Eat Em & Smile by a few years it was a Talas track in '78 iirc. Still a great showcase for his playing.
 18. As I've just bought a bass from the States I thought I'd give an up to date 'real-life' costing for importing from the USA. On a purchase of $2000; on arrival in the UK you'll be charged £42 (Customs Duty), £270 (Import VAT) and if it is being handled by Parcel Force (importing by USPS means that PF will handle your package this end) an extra Clearance Fee £12. In summary a bass costing $2000 / £1330 will incur costs of £324... approx 25%
 19.
Nope.. pull the tone pot out, and... click! The neck pup is backed off slightly. Yay!
How does that work then! Did they in fact design this bass specially for you do you think?
 20.
When I use a J, I only over really use neck solo'd, both full on, or neck backed off slightly so I'll not be missing anything...
...except the above!
 21. Nope I didn't have that in my list, though it makes absolute sense tbh! Look forward to seeing/hearing it.
 22.
Mrs. WoT went to a ladies' salon in Ashington once, and asked for a perm. The stylist said 'Whey aye, pet. I waanda'd lurnely as a clood...'
I was playing a WMC in Ashington and I was standing with a plug in one hand, I turned to the Concert Chairman and said, "Where's the mains mate?", he replied, "Whey next to the wimmins owa yurn corner!"... just realised these quips only work if you've been to Ashington.
 23. Not a huge amount of money for a bass with pukka Bartolinis!
 24. I initially thought that his asking price had the decimal point in the wrong place! LOL
