1. 1993/94 Ernie Ball Musicman Sterling Original pup and preamp (pole pieces are a bit discoloured from use but doesn't affect the bass in any way) Ash body (book matched centre joined) 1 piece Maple neck Early larger bridge with string mutes (working) Rosewood fingerboard Weight; 9lb 5oz General condition is excellent. Plays nicely and has just been set-up with a set of La Bella flats (can supply with new nickel rounds if preferred). Plenty more pics for interested parties but I don't want to bog down the thread with images. £950 or possible trade for something interesting but it must be UNDER 9lb in weight. 4.
Thanks ,have put images in photobucket, please now what, nice and easy please.
While in Photobucket, place/hover your cursor over the image you want and when it brings up a drop down menu simply click once on the bottom selection (IMG code), go into your BC post and simply paste ('control' 'V' is the quickest) the code into your post. Hey presto it will appear in your post as an image.
 5.
I need help uploading pics on this new site, you seem to have complecated a very simple process,Thanks Rich
Photobucket! it's free and you simply paste the tag in... it's far easier.
 6.
hi i think some of you guys must be misunderstanding my first post. ive tested my cab using another amp my drummer v4 and it sounds like its ok nothing wrong there, in doing that i used the same signal chain as i had with my aggie and to run the new head i used the power lead from my aggie. the speakon cable was proved as it was running our monitiors for our vocals so thats good. and just incase i changed the batteries on my bass and also tried a guitar thru my amp and still nadda! also i just remembered i lleft the amp off for about 20mins before trying it again and still the same thing! i was just really confused! everything said it should work! the diag went all the way thru and doesnt flash at all! didnt even flash when it happened! andy
Didn't intend to cast aspersions on your ability to eliminate the obvious Andy. Sometimes it's worth stating the obvious to posters as some may not have the experience (as you have) to try and eliminate the most obvious causes!
 7. Take the guitar lead, amp/speaker cable and mains cable you were using with the DB750 and try those with a different amp and different cab (you'd be amazed how many people say they have done that and it turns out they have just taken the guitar lead... or tried neither), if they work try replacing your DB750 into that signal chain; that at least rules out any external factor and indicates it is defo your amp! Honestly there is nothing more embarrassing than when a repair guy powers it up and it works fine because it was something else in the set-up.
 8. +1 to all of the above. No need to wax if it is played regular but a wipe with wax or lemon oil won't do any harm (be sure to buff the wax off properly or it can become sticky when you get it warm during playing). Splinters... owned dozens of Warwicks over the last 20+ years and have never had one splinter, ever!
 9.
How Much for the top? £800 ?????? and you have a buyer? In Fact £800 for the top an I will give you a night with the wife (.)(.)
£800 and two nights with my dog!
 10.
Did you manage to solve it in the end, WH ... or just sell the bass?!!!
I tried EQing it, using a different amp/cab, adjusting the pup and action, tightened neck bolts, different string gauge and makes... all to no avail. It annoyed me to the point where I sold the bass.
 11. Strange you should have this issue even with a replacement pup as I had a very similar issue with a 'Sting' sig Tele/P bass and replacing the pup didn't sort that (I also tried tilting the pup etc to no avail and changing between flats and rounds)!
 12.
If you caught OGWT 70's Gold edition on the TV the last weekend nearly every band on had a Fender bass in it, what you've been brought up with??
Exactly! Back in the 70's there was a lot less choice and Fender basically dominated the market, so kids watching the OGWT saw their hero playing a Fender and it was thus a self propagating circle.

 14.
Hiya Have a bump on this! this link http://www.warwickba...tID=22954&cl=EN shows the STD Bubinga as a Korean bass. They don't appear in the German section. Perhaps wise SILDDX can clarify as this issues had come up before... ta, joe
The 'Pro' series is a new designation for Warwick, though the Corvette range goes back to the early 90's (fairly sure that they weren't even called 'Standards' back then) and were made in Germany. However... as well versed in all things Warwick that I am, I'm mainly interested in the early years of Warwick production (up till the mid 90's) and the multitude of BO and various lines lost interest for me, especially with production from places other than Germany, so I can't be sure when the 'std' range came out and when they started being made in Korea. A quick line on the Warwick site might get a response to tell when production was moved and clarity as to where this bass was made; though does it matter so long as it is a good un?
 15.
I'm surprised to that this amp has no overheat protection that I can see. I've never even seen mention of amps that have some kind of voltage protection when they have this switcharoo on.
Not a lot to do with 'overheating' tbh! Simple case of applying wrong voltage and it'll be fried I'd have thought. I've no doubt it'll be fixable but not under any warranty that I'm aware of (unless it was sold with the correct modification done to it so that it can be used in the UK). It's often the first thing that folks mention when there is a topic on grey imports... "what if something goes wrong?".
 16.
That's a bit below the belt mate. I thought this forum was commenting on items for sale not sellers.
Fair game in the ebay section! As much as anything it opens the eyes of the unwary and can highlight issues than some novices may not have considered or patterns of dodgy previous sales that appear regularly on ebay.
 17.
What's the pickup config / colour of the streamer?
'Red' is... red and has the MEC PJ config The Ltd Ed is natural (birds eye maple) and has Bartolini Soap Bars
stick em up at the price you'ld get on ebay. if people want them great. otherwise ebay they go. daft putting them up for less, it just deflates all the prices including the ones on ebay in the long term. You have very nice warwicks from good eras.
I had typed up (and subsequently deleted) lots of pros and cons for BC v ebay but I suppose ultimately I should just pick a price and then fcuk those people who will unfortunately point out that someone heard of someone buying one for £400... ooops that happened on this thread; you get the point!
 18.
the red one and..... ? or a different two?
'Red' and a Ltd Ed Streamer
Warwick hunt.... I had a quick look but I can't find your for sale threads!
Nothing put up yet as I want to have some decent pics and I'm undecided as to whether to just put them on ebay... I've advertised Warwick basses on here in the past and unfortunately there is more love for Warwick in the wider world (i.e. I sold 2 Warwicks a couple of months ago and got £500 MORE on ebay than I had them advertised on here!).
 19. Maybe you need a bit more weight on the body or lighter tuners... or a NT! Just so happens I'm selling two so start saving your pennies.
 20. It's as much about the harmonics of the note as the fundamental. The biggest problem you may have is that poor speaker cabs might not do it justice and may well just flap, added to which your amp will need to work harder to drive out those low notes which will eat up your amp power!
 21.
It's just under 9lbs.
Odd that it neck dives, it isn't something I've ever had happen on any of my NT Streamers (and I've had more than a few)! I've presently got Streamer neck-thru basses that are over and under the 9lb mark (sub 8lb, 9lb 2oz,10lb) and none of these dive.
 22.
Thanks for the suggestion Doctor J. I already use a very wide Comfort strap. Unfortunately, my shoulder is very sensitive to small changes in weight, and as the set I play is so long, I really noticed the way the bass was weighted in a negative way. If I was just playing for an hour a night it wouldn't bother me. After 2 hours however, I'd know all about it!
What does the bass actually weigh?
 23.
Really don't think I can resist at that price, PM sent for bass and pickups.
If you need to fund it I'll have that tatty old Warwick off you... especially as you'll need to adjust to those fanned frets!
