1. Did this belong to Mark (Marcus) off BC?
 2.
IMHO ... you're totally right John! That was one of the 'last' pictures selected (to show a close-up of the grain), but no matter what order you enter them, the photos just seem to re-arrange themselves ?! I've redone it now (x3 attempts) and the full bass is now no.1, but it's still disorganised (by ebay, not me!)
I see. I thought that you had inadvertently selected that one as your preferred #1 shot... thought it was a bit odd but reasoned that maybe you hadn't checked your listing.
 3. IMHO that's a terrible 'Gallery' pic for your Bacchus Dave! Looks like a blurred pic of a close-up of the side of a piece of old furniture.
 4. Very nice! As you say it would be topped off if it had an appropriate aged headstock but play it for the next 30 years and it should just about get there... just as the body falls to pieces and you have to change that (Trigger's broom anyone ). So what happens to the RI body that the neck came off?
 5. Looking at a couple of recent BC ebay threads and then the ebay listings there is a Dutch bassist desperate to buy a bass from the UK!
 6. Sorry mate, forum rules; you need to put a price rather than invite offers.
 7.
Well I like it these are great sounding basses but the shape is definately an acquired taste like the thumbs but uber comfortable. Is it neck through?
SN is 'set neck'... imagine the Les Paul of the bass world!
 8.
<6 months 3/1 6 to 12 months 4/1 5/1 bar
What's the odds for a 'lifer'?
 9. Now that's bought and paid for Bob you can save your pennies up and buy my PRS with maple neck... Ooooh maple fretless with the Thor'd treatment!
 10. I may be a fan of Warwicks and I am speaking from experiences of buying and selling Warwick basses in the UK but... if someone has said that they are going to swap you a 74 Jazz for the the Thumb then you are the winner! There is no way on God's green earth that you will sell the Thumb for more than you would realistically get for a 74 Jazz (all things being equal with regard to condition), so it is a no brainer to trade and then try to sell the Thumb. I've no doubt that at some point in the future Warwick prices will rocket (they can't go much lower ) but unless you can sit on that bass for 10/15/20/25 years then you'd be a fool to take the Warwick... and that's a hard thing for a fan of Warwick basses to say.
 11. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Musicman-Stingray-3E...=item27b91bc272 Always pays to check the detail in your listing title!
 12. For £300 I'd be looking in the for sale section of BC for something used which is both better and more powerful. Not that H&K are rubbish but the BassKick (BK) is at the bottom end of the range and used is going to get you a lot more for your money. H&K are reliable or at least the top end stuff us that I am aware of. As for the tone... that really depends what you plug into it!
 13. I've never played this bass nor do I personally have any affiliation with FP but I've yet to find a Streamer of this era that is a duffer! The woods IMHO are still of the best quality; the maple for the bodies on these basses [despite the minor dings], is tight and resonant and though I may prefer the woodiness of the Wenge necked basses, there is no other Warwick that gives the tone of these predominantly maple basses. Oh and the wax will last you 20 years... I made one tin last me that long and I used it on a LOT of Warwick basses!
 14.
Still no Chris 2112?
 15.
I have two 'MM/SR' bodies (photos below) John - one is 'burst, the other's a flame/natural (OLP). I started to drill the 'burst one to take the better of the two 'MM' bridges I have .. but found that I didn't have a bit big enough (!). I think this original EB neck fits the burst body (pocket) better than the OLP. I really need to list all this stuff (I have pickups, s/plates, bridges etc.) as I don't have the time or inclination now to get this all reconnected (!) Howard's interested in a MM style neck (but Fender-fit) and some of the J pickups I've picked-up somewhere/sometime. Currently it's all nicely stored .. but just taking up room.
I know what you mean Dave; I'm busy clearing stuff but luckily none of mine is big and bulky like necks and bodies. Not putting stuff together makes sense now, I assumed the body was a pukka MM but then again if it was you'd certainly have put them together by now!
 16.
Price??
It's a trade so I don't think he needs to inc a price; it'd be down to the individual who was wanting to trade to agree a comparable price.
 17.
And who fitted the scratchplate?
Now if the scratchplate had been tortie!
 18.
After suffereing that drum sound through my huge system...I can tell you that they are in EXACTLY the same place. You get all the same sounds. And more...Only the Bongo has the pickup moved, because of the 24 fret neck.
Cheers mate. If I end up going for a 2 pup bass I want to be sure that the rear pup on the twin pup will sound exactly the same as the single pup bass (variation between any two basses taken into account) as that's the sound I liked on my last Sterling; added to which I prefer the look of the single pup so if I whip the front pup out then I can just fit a standard Sterling single pup scratchplate and it'll disguise the hole... who needs versatility; I'm the bass player, I only use one sound live!
 19.
yep, at the back. I thank you.
Roll up, roll up! Obviously I'm after knowing if the rear pup on both basses is placed in 'exactly' the same place or was the rear pup on the $$ placed a bit further forward/back from the bridge to accommodate either the fitting/aesthetics/sound of the extra pup?
 20. Just a quick question that Sterling or MM/EB owners/specialists may be able to answer; is the rear pup in the same place on both guitars?
 21.
don't matter how famous you are. ther's always someone better!
Just had a quick look at your recent posts mate... I realise that they are all posted at 'silly o clock' in the morning but either someone has hacked your account or you've been hitting the sauce bottle pretty hard and taking your woes out on we imaginary people on t'interweb!
