1. I generally prefer 10.00am on a Sunday but often the lads prefer 3 - 4pm on a Sunday and on the subject of houses left empty; don't worry the dogs won't bite you when you come in... but they'll rip your arm out of the cufking socket on the way out! Rehearsals are always a laugh for us so it isn't a chore when we do have to get together but I'd not be impressed if anyone were to suggest a Friday or a Saturday evening (assuming we aren't gigging).
 2. Did this used to belong to Mark (Marcus)? Just trying to establish if I've tried this bass for weight!
 3.
What are these things like for balance? Will it be safe to balance quite a heavy rack on a 610 cab (12" deep)??
The larger platform would be fine. I used to put my 6x10 on it and they are a solid platform regardless of the foam (which is quite firm).
How about trasportation issues? Is it flexible enough to hook into your baggage when flying?
If you are talking about the Gramma Pad, they are a solid board mounted on foam, so no they will not fold or flex.
 4. If Haltwhistle isn't too much of a hike, I can recommend Dave Wilson. www.dwilsonguitars.com
 5.
Ahem, bass for sale section. Also if you are on just to sell you might wanna swing by the introductions page. BTW Thats a lovely bass so good luck and welcome to the site.
Have I missed something? The OP joined over 2 years ago!
 6. I was petrified it would leech the solid bottom end away from my DB112's... but it doesn't!
 7. My bad! Completely different crack altogether. The crack in the Sonus that I had was actually tight up in the corner of the 'body' wood in the neck pocket.
 8.
MB1. ...Looks like it didnt sell?...
Nope the bass was pulled early. It still had time left to run then suddenly ended!
 9. So did someone snipe this bass or can we expect to see it appear for sale on BC some time soon?
 10.
... might be, John, although the kids have outgrown the delights of Alnwick Castle (... saving us a fortune in the process, thank goodness!). I'll PM/call if we're heading into Northumberland (Belsay's a possible) at all. The USA Fly's probably a perfect weight for you, but this one's 9lb+ ...
Shame the spalted isn't the same as the USA... I can always bide my time till the USA comes around!
 11.
I'd be concerned about ebay not refunding the postage though.
As would I but you'd be amazed how often ebay/paypal favour the buyer... especially if they thought they could stamp on the postage overcharging, which diddles eBay out of fees. Saying all of that, the guy is just trying to get a decent price for his items whilst circumventing the eBay fees... can't blame him for the latter part of that.
 12.
Can you not buy it and pay, wait for it to arrive, and then dispute it through paypal and get the postage back? Claim you never realised, just looked at the total cost. I don't see how they won't refund it, if he's only paid £13 to post it.
Now 'that' is very devious... I like your way of thinking!
 13.
... watch this space for one or two basses to be listed shortly, as I will need to recover my finances.
Don't tease, just send me a PM with the stock list now!
 14.
The Neck looks a little out of place, but you still do see ultra figured bits of maple on even lowly Mexican Strats and Teles, so it's not unheard of.
Agreed that you can get figured Fenders (even on recent cheapy stuff) but I've rarely seen one like that on a late 70's P bass and it looks heavily lacquered (tinted) and shiny in comparison to the body wear.
 15.
Some nasty looking lump of wood and metal - looked like it was painted black with hammerite smooth and with 'Fender' written on the headstock in silver paint. Must have been the contender for the worst counterfeit Fender ever.
Cheers. No surprise it was pulled then!
 16. That's a highly figured piece of maple for a Fender bass, I'd be interested to know if the Fender experts think the neck is Fender and original? The x1 Jazz + x0.5 Precision pup seems an intriguing mod' I'd like to know the rational (and how it works) behind that. If it is wired in then its obviously intended to beef up the D G strings but I'm just not sure how that would pan out or (and this is my guess) is it just a Jazz pup and the 1/2 P pup is just to fill in the offending space!
 17. This is for sale by the same seller on BC!
 18. Worth a pop if you are based in Belfast otherwise I'd want full detailed pics... if it's too good to be true!
 19. tbh giving an instrument a limited title etc can work in an odd reverse psychology kind of way. People will look to see what kind of electric bass (you would wouldn't you just in case it was that 'attic' 61 Fender Jazz that Dad forgot about) and then might think 'hmmm I'll watch that just in case it goes cheap'. I reckon £120 to £150!
 20.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FENDER-ELECTRIC-BASS...ents_Guitars_CV G.
Listing pulled. Out of interest what was it?
 21. Wish I'd seen this as the weight is about perfect for me!
 22. If this crack is in the corner of the body/neck pocket then it isn't isolated to your bass; my black Sonus had a small crack, though it was solid and had no effect nor was it unstable.
 23. Just another perspective. I own a pair of DB12's which I take as a pair to every gig and they sound phenomenal. However, due to the fact that I always take the 2 cabs out to 'every' gig (the sum of the two parts is much better than the whole) I do find myself hankering for a one box option and have seriously considered getting the 1212L on more than one occasion (the DB2x12 is just too big and heavy a single lift)... just petrified of losing that quality Aguilar DB tone! The grass is not always greener.
