They do look like damn fine combos. I'd love one If I could afford the extension cab as well.
First impressions are that it is quite a sensitive speaker load so I'm not convinced that it'll need an extension cab to work in most situations; i.e. when it gets to the point where you need to partner it with an extension cab you should be going through the PA!
Nooo! Oh well, my wallet thanks thee
It's not set in stone but this thing ticks a lot of my boxes and the decider will be an A/B with my DB12's and Thunderfunk.

Check here... http://www.warwick.de/modules/produkte/pro...17057&cl=EN There is a drop down menu at the top for the rest of the Warwick range and to get an idea of price I'd just stick the model name in Google (selecting UK search) and one of the first few sites will generally be prices from the likes of GAK, Dolhin music, Bass Centre etc. that'll give you an idea of new prices so that you don't get carried away on eBay.
Just a request... any of you without genuine interest in the deal please don't disturb in the thread. Guess is not a immoderate demand.
As this could be construed as being directed at me I'll 'disturb' your thread one final time to give my response. If uninterested parties had to leave threads alone this'd be a p*ss boring forum and MB1 would be figuratively silenced ( ) but as it happens some of us on here have a sense of humour... you may not 'get' that humour but I'm not going to lose sleep over that. Best of luck selling your bass.
Did you pick up a 2x12 combo?!
In a round-about way.
The 2x10 and 2x12 combos use a Class D amplifier rather than the Class AB one in the 1x10 and 1x12... so that could make a difference too.
Not sure that is right either as the 500w Puma 2x12 has a label indicating that it is class A/B power! edit Did anyone on here get one of the 8ohm 1x12 cabs that can match the width dimensions of the 2x12 combo?
They all do that...
It appears that they don't 'all' do it! I have one and it mutes the signal completely!
This hiss seems to be affecting the combos.....hmmm. I wonder what it is.
Again the hiss isn't affecting 'all' of the combos. I'm hypercritical of humm and noise (other than the racket that I call bass playing) and this 2x12 combo is pretty spot on, no noise!
Now I know how much I weigh too :-) Bass weighs 4,5 kg..
Ah the 'trusty' ( ) bathroom scales! Past experiences with folks using that method leaves me cold unfortunately.
Oh for god's sake, will somebody please buy it and stop me lusting after this bass that I [s]can't afford and[/s] don't need but really really want...
+1
Thanks for all the comments. Definitely want to get the right one to start with - save a bit of cash in the long run. Will need something that'll handle Foo Fighters covers assuming the drummer is putting in the Taylor Hawkins style effort. Been offered a an Ashdown C110 300 Evo ABM combo for £325 ono - sound like it'll do me? Cheers Graham
I assume the C110 300 combo is the 1x10 300w combo... I'm aware of the fact that the combo in question got good reviews when it was released but tbh it is still a single 10" speaker and unless you are using full PA support I'd look at getting a greater speaker displacement if it is going to be projecting your sound without PA. Just my opinion!

Bought some strings from me; top guy to deal with!

They are posted elsewhere but to help here they are again! Black shows no stains (beer being the most obvious) and IMHO looks classy... though I quite like the choc colour.
Lots of interest with the rebate price but nothing closed by now. By the way, take a look at the new quotation of the factory model: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...%3D1&_rdc=1
I'm not due to win the Euro lottery this week so it probably doesn't affect me but is it worth you adjusting your offer of free carriage if that is no longer an option?
I've started to get it mate, I turn the amp on and off and it's abit of a lucky dip as to whether it returns or not
So it isn't just a consistent 'normal' hum... it can go away and then return!
Hmm.. A lot of opinions here about the BC. Though, I'm noting that the last post was June 2008 or something. Now we are over a year and a few months later, and the BC is still going. Does anyone have any more recent experience with them? I just bought some gear from them. The bass will take a couple of weeks to be sent from Germany, so I'm hoping it arrives when they say it will. Also, I'm overseas and so will not receive the item until December, the item being stored in my parents house until then. I'll be sure to inform you how my experiences where with them. A little anxious about this whole thing, but I'm really just hoping for the best. They where quite friendly on the phone. J
Just out of interest, what is it that you've ordered that will take them several weeks to have sent over from Germany? -
Still wish I could have your SS1 That is a beautiful Wick !
Never say never! Did you have the Jazzman when we were talking trades... I seem to recall it was some other Ltd Ed Warwick that you had.

Déjà vue Ken. I just PM'd you over on the Warwick forum to say that I recognised the Jazzman as one of my former basses... then I click on this thread.
Have you been posting wated ads like this for some time? I remember something a few years ago .....
Rang bells with me... almost a year ago to the day. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;hl=kevin+lang Hope you have some luck finding it this time. -
WoT he said ( ) but I think the 'problem' may be compounded by the fact that you are using a MM (my experience with them is that the preamp adds a lot of attack to the fretted note anyway) and playing with a pick.
These are one of the best kept secrets IMO - http://www.technicalhifi.com/cats.php?cat=27 1u, really light, cheap and great. I got an 800w one from eBay for £90, Kiwi got a 1600w one from eBay for £150ish (ours both look the same as the top one on that page, with the light strips, but mine is silver and 'unbranded' If you search for 'Technical Pro' on eBay you might strike lucky. You can but from the US too, because they are switchable voltage.
Prices look good for what they appear to be but they are a bit cheeky giving the model designation the 'peak' power number. Just seen the 1700 watt jobbie on ebay but it is actually 415w @ 4 ohms!
