I just need to fail to resist the urge, again
Your car could drive itself to my house by now Andy.
PMd
Replied As with the other basses that I have for sale I've had a lot of interest and interesting offers. I don't want to dick about and mess people round but I'm trying to firm up/confirm one or two offers of sales. However I do have to stress that these sales aren't because I'm suddenly destitute so I'm not giving any basses away. Luke may well have advertised his Stage I bass @ £600 but I'm not selling my fretless as cheaply (no disrespect Luke ) and my Ltd Ed bass is into 4 figures which may at least settle the matter for a few people. Cheers for all of the PMs and I'll sort this shortly but in the meantime there's no harm in keeping offers coming.
 2.
I don't know much about Marshall gear -- but I thought they only made 4x12s for bass. Are these ones guitar cabs or did they previously make 4x10s? I wondered, since Severin mentioned there could be 15s in storage too, if he'd bi-amped. Cheers Mark
Marshall have done several 4x10's. It was a bit vague and off-putting not knowing what was actually for sale!
 3.
£770 final bid.....I hope it all works. Did anyone have a punt then ?
(at least) 2 amps, 4 cabs and assorted cases... got to be worth £770 even if it needs a bit of work. Can't help thinking that splitting it up would have gotten a greater price!
 4. Price to follow when I sorted a few things out but by all means punt me an offer you may beat the rest of the field. <edit> Note the preamp (Aggie OBP1... not that you can see it or the pots), pots (new Warwick) and knobs (again new shiny Warwick) have been replaced since this pic.

I really like the idea of two humbuckers Oh and give me a price!
PMd re tone
Rough idea of price please? Ta.
Give me a short while as I've been offered a couple of trades + cash which does appeal. I take it you are selling the Warwick for £400?
If only! The Warwick was advertised @ £600. It's the P bass that is £400.

 15.
The only bass I have at the moment is this one. Harlot R Type But I am be able to finish another before March and I will try to find out if Peter can come along he has a 4 string Harlot. I am in no way reasonable for marital discord and will run away and hide if any spouse talks hard at me.
Phew! That bass has the wrong ( ) number of strings so I'm safe.
 16. Yep I've owned a couple JV basses (inc big Fender logo) and they are comparable with a good Fender BUT sometimes imho people get carried away with the collectability and price! At the end of the day you could say that they are a very good Fender bass (never heard of a duff JV) but that is all they are; a good ('possibly' better than the genuine Fender of the era) Fender bass guitar. So what would you pay for a decently fettled early 80's Fender? To me that is about the value of a JV Squier UNLESS you are a collector.
 17. I can vouch for this Streamer, the tone may not suit Luke but it is typical early Warwick 'Sound Of Wood' growl. Good luck with the sale Luke.
 18.
Might try to come along if I have a bass to bring. Alan
The more the merrier and to have a bass builder with some original examples would be great. Though I have to admit it 'might' upset Mrs WH as she knows that I've mentioned your basses once or twice... always a bad sign in our house when I mention a bass more than twice!
 19.
Guys, on the parking thing, I work for P&G, on the same road as the arts centre. Parking can be a bit of a beggar on weekends, so I'll suss out how far a walk it is (it'll be no more than 5 mins), and for those not wanting to leave vehicles on streets, I may be able to swing the use of the P&G car park (security on hand etc). If this would suit please let me know, and I'll see if the HR team are OK with it. I know it'd be a pain unloading gear, then moving the car, but I'm guessing it'd be a useful thing. Let me know folks
Though I don't know the exact area in question it can't do any harm to have a back-up parking plan, nice one.
 20.
Just remember, every sale of a $$ requires a booking at a chiropractor!Heavy old things but a great sound,
I have a NT $$ Swamp Ash and it'll be lucky if it is much more than 8lb.

 22. Too pricey? If he knows what the going rate is then the price could be negotiated!
 23. Did anyone notice this owld fella creeping in by the back door? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry384458
 24.
I was going to post that there are plenty of oldies on here, but then saw your first paying gig was the year I was born! Glad to welcome someone who makes me look young!
I can assure you The BD makes 'anyone' look young. Saying that anyone who can still haul their lazy ars* off the sofa on a Sunday afternoon to go and do a gig with a 6 piece band at the venerable Doc's age deserves respect (hope the gig went well) Nice to see you active on here at last, before you know it you'll be in the thick of it sprouting all things bass.
