1.
The blue one is still on ebay! So that can't be my one , then?
Unusual that they are both in Edinburgh and the guy also has a load of stuff that looks like music store gear! Do you have your bass and how are you finding it?
 2.
Nice one - will update the ad on the 'bay now. Did you sell yours this weekend? Mark
No but with so many Thumbs floating around on the forum I don't expect to. I'm not in a massive hurry as I've sold my P bass to a BCer and a Warwick forum member has bought one of my Infinettes... just waiting for 'further' verification on my paypal account so that I can access the funds!
 3.
Thanks Ady! .. thank goodness somebody has a decent memory: there you go John, if Oct. 07 sounds about right then you would have bought it from Ady/ebay. +1 on Ady's comments on the lightness/0-dead spots (in addition to what's been said before). Remains an excellent & uncommon bass .. at a very good price.
Phew... thought I was having a senior moment. Yep it looks like those dates would tie-in nicely. If those dates are correct why the heck did I get it off ebay and not direct from Ady? Never mind, another bump for a cracking bass.
 4.
Ultra Amber? Where's it coming from?
A local(ish) Spector outlet who are getting it direct from Arbiter... in ultra amber! I'm pretty confident in the QC dept but it's always a bit nail biting. Pics to follow and if I can get hold of a set of DR Sunbeams, a bit of A/B comparison with a Stage I.
 5.
superb example of a 78 Fender Jazz Bass, beautiful looking instrument, ash body with amazing wood grain,, original shop tags still attached ,pearl inlays, excellent condition. email me for pics and discussion if interested.
Pics in the thread will save you a load of time and hassle.
 6.
Thank God. You finally bit the bullet, I'm proud of you John! I'm getting visions of your name chaning to SpectorHunt in the next few months.
It loses a certain something...
 7. Can't be ars*d with waiting for a used one and seeing as how I've sold one of my Warwicks... I've bought a new Euro 4 (a tad worrying as it's unseen and unplayed).
 8. Just a heads-up as it could matter to a potential buyer (and 'might' help you achieve a higher price) but your eBay ad needs a quick amendment... the neck is wenge (and bubinga) not ovankol; ovankol is the wood of choice for the recent range not these old basses.
 9.
I DID have one of these ages ago - same specs/colour (you can get various options including 2x magnetic p/up in addition to the piezo / and various colour options - although IMHO this is the best). If there's some slight marking/wear below the rear 'hook' (extension for strap/balance) then it's possibly mine (well, formerly mine). There is (was) also a superb Bolin fitted hardcase (traditional, tolex type but with interior fitted for this bass specifically) with 'Bolin' logo. Superb instrument!.. can only agree with what's been stated thus far (except that I do like the headstock concept) - I really enjoyed playing it but didn't really find a 'working' use for it.
This does have that bit of wear described... am I going completely senile, did I buy this off you Dave or did you have it prior to my receiving it. I'm certain that I got it off eBay!
 10.
I know of a black cherry Euro 4LX that is one of the last SC liquidation ones that is going very cheap. Thanks to WH's fabulous networking to find a blue one, I managed to hear about this other one. Let me know if anyone's interested.
Don't blame it all on me when you're skint ... Pints should be winging there way to LukeFRC if truth be told!
 11. OK as it happens my best laid plans went awry (no new bass for Johnnie-Poos) and no-one took me up on my offer of free personal door to door delivery any way! This bass still needs a new home so if anyone fancies treating themselves to a Crimbo pressie, it's here for the taking.
 12.
Stop saying that, Warwickhunt, of course he's the moderator! To the original poster - cracking bass, I know a guy locally who owns one just like it and it sounds fantastic!
You do realise that if I change it, then your post will be irrelevant and look silly! I think I'll have a new 'Withnail' quote for the New Year. I've owned a few 87/88 Streamers (fretted and fretless) and I love em to bits. For me very much what Warwick's 'The sound of wood' slogan is all about, more so than any of the later derivations of the Streamer (or any Warwick for that matter). The later predominantly maple necked model has a bit more top end snap and not quite as earthy toned as these Wenge necked models.
 13. Time is slipping away as I need to be off first thing tomorrow morning!
 14. I'm a sucker for QM so that gets my vote!
 15. Final Ones... Revolver Under the bridge Infinette - panned centre (both pups on full); Rear pup coil tapped in single coil; EQ B&T on full Hold My Hand Infinette - panned a smidgen to the rear pup; Rear pup in Humbucker both coils; EQ B&T on full I'm finished... nothing to see, just move along!
 16.
Ah, this takes me back...!
I was going to link these 2 tracks to your tour snaps as a bit of a surprise! I must catch up with you one day and have a proper reminisce about what went wrong (and right of course) with that band. Oh and save yourself some download time the other tracks aren't Morgan.
 17. Black Banana Band On Earth (T3) Infinette - panned centre (both pups on full); Rear pup in Humbucker both coils; EQ B&T on full
 18. Black Banana Band Tainted Love (T6) Infinette - panned slightly to the neck pup; Rear pup in Humbucker both coils; EQ B&T on full
 19.
How many BCers have owned his bass?
Obviously I've had it BUT I don't 'think' that eubassix has even though Josh said that he did!
 20.
Well, I love the 87 JD I own (I've never encountered a more playable 4-string) and I live just up the road from Solihull. I'm a bit strapped for cash though, I suppose you'd want a bit more than a tenner and half a packet of wine gums?
A HALF of a packet... some people take the p*ss on here!
 21. Woo Hoo! This might work! Morgan Le Fay Buildings & Houses (T1)
 22. I'm trying to see ascertain how hard it is to upload tracks from my hard drive as someone is interested in buying a bass from me and wants to hear it... please ignore me while I p*ss about trying to find the easiest way to do this. Unless you have any good ideas! Morgan Le Fay (Here on) Cloud 8 (T2)
 23.
apparently if this was lefty then you might have had a pm already though
Dare to be different... turn it upside down and restring it (actually very easy as the bridge saddles and nut screws will just swap around)
 24. I do worry when sellers claim to have owned something for so long and they can't get basic info correct!
