1. The bassist formerly known as ___---___ How would I pronounce that?
 2. You must be desperate! http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry303396
 3. Top of the head £600! The best thing to do is stick it up at £800 and then every few days drop the price £25/£50. The bass will eventually hit the right button for someone and if all else fails I'll take it when it hits £500. Actually thinking about it... for something defaced by a Mackam I may have to halve that offer.
 4.
bummmmmmp. price too high? or is it just the "pickup only" bit...
As you asked... Unfortunately it could be either; I bought a 'new' GATOR case to ship a Warwick in and it cost me less than £50 from a shop. Unfortunately offering the courier option isn't going to help you really as the £15 for carriage makes your total £50... the cost of a new case! Saying collection only means you are realistically looking at bassists on this forum who live in close proximity to you and who want a used bass case, not sure how many that would be. Now if you were to offer to inc a bass in the sale...
 5.
Is Kalim in the Tech owners club? We wait with baited breath.
He already was... he had my Tech 2x10 cab a couple years back.
 6. I should have added that the bass will come fully set-up with new Warwick EMP strings and includes a Warwick, heavily padded, Bass Centre Gig-bag (not the usual Warwick bag, this one is Logo'd with 'The BC' and considerably thicker). Alternatively for the right deal/sale (and to allay any fears of damage in transit), I'll keep the gig-bag and I'll purchase a new GATOR hardcase to ship the Thumb in.
 7.
I’d bloody love this, but I just can’t justify it at the moment. If my girlfriend saw another bass being delivered then she would actually lose her mind…(I’ve been trying to think if I’d be able to convince her that it’s the Thumb BO that I sold a month ago [I don’t think she’s worked out that I sold it – I didn’t tell her just in case…] )

I won't say anything if you don't! Here's a bump for the Thumb, Warwickhunt.......

Can't beat Mr Hunt for a straight dealer on his basses & gear - I'm more than happy to vouch for him & when it comes to Warwicks he really knows his stuff
Cheers guys. Plenty of interest in the bass, though as yet 'I still haven't found what I'm looking for'. (cue U2 lyrics)
 8.
Thanks Warwickhunt for posting the link. Height is 30 inches. Width is only 21" which makes it so easy for carrying through doorways. PM to Kalim.
That for me is the killer punch; not only is it a featherweight but you can walk through a doorway without turning sideways... and no scrapped knuckles. Ah bliss.
 9. Lakwood... Lakwood... Lakwood... sounds a bit like...
 10.
How tall does it stand? Thats bloody light for a 4x10
Indeedy! The 6x10 is only 13lb more. 11.
FYI, My name is Mick Butler, anyone has any specific questions about the bass can get me on 07813 110071.
Should have realised; Quality bass + NE area = Mick Butler
 12.
ok hardware is here. Pretty quick i thought. everything is present and accounted for +1 to warwick shop. Although i did end up with 2 stack knobs unstead of one. im in the middle of removing the old hardare and have had two small tech problems. 1. the knob for the pickup selector is stuck on with the force of hell so im not sure what to do yet to loosen that screw. 2. Oh dear my earth seems to have come loose it is not connected to anything in the control cavity can somone with a warwick 2 band eq help me out here of where its supposed to be. Thanks.
Are all of the pots tagged to each other? If you get the chance take a pic and I'll see if it's obvious.
 13.
Wow!
Hang on, I haven't worked on it yet!
 14.
Travelled up to Whitley Bay to buy Dave's Cairnes Stingray. Fantastic bass (can't get over just how nice the neck is) and a top bloke to deal with. Unfortunately the trip may just have kindled my interest in a Vigier after seeing Dave's in the flesh! Cheers Dave! Oh and his other half makes a great cuppa too.
WHAT? Pam made you a cup of tea! How many years Dave and I'm struggling to recall a cuppa... ever.
 15.
...tis me! I'm a quarter-Geordie and have a `bowlt hole' in Perkinsville...!
Ah ha! Mystery solved.

Anybody (John, Michael, Marcus .. others based up here) know the seller?
I've watched/seen one or two of his listings in the past (all good stuff if it caught my eye ) but for the life of me I can't remember if I ever established who the actual person was! Anybody add anything (Michael, Mark, Dave...)
 17. I had my order within about 3 days of placing it and I think that included the fact that I placed the order late afternoon!
 18.
Ah well fair enough, if you change your mind and do decide to put a figure on it let me know and we can go from there, cheers Kev
PMd

Thanks
Hmmm, see above. The nice Spector is now gone, so cash isn't an imperative.
 21. Just a heads-up and nowt to do with me... No pics and I've no idea where in the UK the seller is but if they lived local to you and this was in good working nick it'd be worth offering them £125 (saving them eBay/PayPal fees) and offering to collect. Bomb-proof Peavey amp for not a lot of money! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEAVEY-MEGA-BASS-AMP...1QQcmdZViewItem edit - Actually the phone code is 0151 so we do know where the seller is

 23.
Nice I don't want to do this to myself, however, do you have a cash price in mind?
There's always a cash price in mind Ben I do have to admit if I sell it there's a fair chance that SWMBO will spirit the money away for another house project, so a trade would be best. Saying that I do know of the whereabouts of a nice Spector which a sale might get me closer to...
 24.
Good point - do you know how I move the post to 'other related stuff'?
PM a Mod or it may well just get shifted when someone spots it.
 25. I've got to say that 130 euro for a complete overhaul of your hardware is pretty damn reasonable, especially as the tuners etc are pretty high quality units and you are talking a 6 string! Resell the bits you take off and it'll not have cost a lot to give you the look you want. Oh and I agree the black will look classy on the dark wood.
