  1. I've owned 4 Zon Sonus (inc a Lightwave model) and presently have a Legacy Elite and aside from tone and recorded sound they are absolutely 'consistent' regardless of atmosphere or conditions.
  2. I imagine that Warwick may well have been having the same debates when they routed for my 5th Anniversary bass. Twisting them on the axis like that 'might' get you half way between that trad P bass tone and the 'W' growl. Caveat - comparing a NT SSI and a BO P bass is NOT scientific! LOL
  3. Shall I try an experiment... I have a Warwick SSI that has what we are calling the 'reverse' P and I have the same model (a ltd 5th Anniversary bass) but with the standard non-reverse P pup (I'll measure the leading edge). Point of note is that for some reason Warwick decided to slightly angle the pups... maybe they knew it would through up debates in years to come. Only problem is that though the two models are Streamers they aren't the same bass nor will they have the same strings, hence all things aren't really equal in a test.
  4. Sadly I think Brexit has absolutely destroyed chances of high end purchases/trades for me! I've got a whole bunch of stuff that I could trade but both the OP and I would end up getting hit for taxes. <edit> Trying to figure out if this is my old bass.
  5. I like quirky/left field basses and these 'really' appeals but Brexit has absolutely shot dead any chance of me buying a bass from outside of the UK! GLWTS
  6. I had a Fortress with the 2-Tek bridge. Great bass but the bridge added about 2lb to the weight! LOL Is your Pro II black? I've seen less ambiguity with the solid black basses than other colours.
  7. Wrong end of the country otherwise I'd have had a look at this.
  8. The 'Sadowsky' adjustable nut... I bet Warwick wish they'd thought of that one!
  9. I've owned her twice... I'd own her a 3rd time if Lee Muir would sell her back to me! 🤣
  10. Perhaps the number of instruments produced in that finish didn't justify the extra man power/materials/production technique... possibly that is what didn't make sense?
  11. As I said earlier, the Sterling does have a phantom/third coil, that could have became detached.
  12. If the pup screws are tensioned (not loose) it shouldn't but the Sterling does have a phantom coil... wonder if that is the culprit? If it is brand new then you've nothing to worry about.
  13. Ah but how many of us still 'tape' things?
  14. I have a Noll pre fitted (2 band EQ) in a different Warwick bass (Infinette) and if anything I'd say it has a slightly brighter top end than the MEC. Any of the good quality makers will make a good pre; EMG is the original to the MEC.
  15. If I wasn't at the other end of the country I'd have had this straight off your hands at £200!
  16. Were Andertons or GuitarGuitar or someone else not clearing out old stock at these prices (new)?
  17. HPW of Warwick initially made Jazz copies, closely followed by his 'TV bass'. https://bassmusicianmagazine.com/2017/09/luthier-spotlight-hans-peter-wilfer-of-warwick/
  18. I'm sure they do a 4 string.
  19. Ibanez. They have a new range out that is exactly this.
  20. If you want his details (name. home address, phone number etc) they are all readily available on this thread and various other FB groups. It also takes about 5 minutes to find out where his next gigs etc might be (covid dependent). All of this info is in the public domain, no secrets being disclosed.
  21. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't hold your breath! He has used that line with every single person he has scammed so far.
