  1. Jerry was a racecar driver - Primus
  2. Little fluffy clouds - The Orb
  3. I decided to learn Flying Whales by Gojira, I knew it would be interesting but as I listen to it more closely to work it out, I'm starting to realise this could be one of the all time great metal bass lines buried in a guitar heavy mix. It seems a shame they didn't have the bass much higher in the mix.
  4. Lucy in the sky with diamonds - Beatles
  5. That is really very good. There's a lot of Soundgarden in the sound. I like the vocals as well, they suit the music perfectly.
  6. Gone fishing - Chris Rea
  7. Eel never know - Cher
  8. Turbot lover - Judas Priest
  9. A warm plaice - Nine Inch Nails
  10. Yes. I've heard a prog cover of it.
  11. Here's another one that may be controversial. I loved this cover back in the 90's. And a possibly less controversial cover of Of the kids are united which I think definitely beats the original.
  12. That's harsh. I think FNM's Easy is a really great cover. Everything Disturbed ever did, cover or original was just awful
  13. It's far better than the original. Even Lionel is a fan of the FNM version.
  14. Nearly but not quite
  15. How has this one not been mentioned yet?
  16. Funky monks - RHCP
  17. Agreed that's going to be a seriously good night. I wish I had tickets now
  18. One of the best live bands I've seen is Royal Blood. Just a drummer and bassist, both extremely talented. They created a huge wall of sound. No guitarists were needed. Om also have bass as lead instrument and no guitars and create some incredible music both recorded and live.
  19. When I see a band like Queens Of The Stone Age or Black Rebel Motorcycle Club or Foo Fighters live I'd get bored and leave if the played exactly the same as the record. If I want to listen to the record then I'll listen to the record. When I play covers with a band, as long as everyone works around the original chords then it's all good. Note for note covers always sound boring to me, music is art, imitation is not.
  20. According to Sleep's socials, it's an official signature model. I'm guessing the price will be massive
  21. The 4 string neck is probably tuned to his usual drop C. He uses lots of open string drones so a 5 string would mean fretting all those drone notes which would be tricky.
  22. I think you'll find that's Sleepy (Al Cisneros, plays in the band Sleep)
  23. The green inlays suggest its another Al Cisneros signature special. There have been rumours that he has, on occasion smoked a bit of the devil's lettuce.
  24. No no no - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
  25. It must be good for metal, it looks heavy enough. I certainly wouldn't want to play it for an hour. Setting this up must take some time just to adjust the four truss rods.
