You didn't read what u said did you? I've been many times. I enjoy what Glastonbury ìs about and I know its not a metal festival and at no point have I said it should be. Try reading next time simpleton.

75% of the people at Glastonbury are middle aged and middle class. They're the only ones who can afford a ticket. Last time I went (2017), it was about a grand for a family of four. I'm all for keeping it moving but Coldplay headlining four times in twelve years isn't really moving things forward. Some of the biggest pyramid stage audiences were for Rolling Stones and Metallica even though Glastonbury isn't a rock festival. I have always really enjoyed the festival from mid 90's to 2017 but this year seems to be a one off to me

I heard some of the Kraus/Plant set on Radio6. The singing and playing was perfect but that's all I could remember about it. Nothing interesting or exciting. I also heard a couple song by Lamb and quite enjoyed that. Quite different and I should imagine perfect for a festival.

Drugs. Lots of drugs. I didn't say no one would enjoy it, I just said I thought it was very bland. Personal opinion and all that junk.

I preferred the Thunderace. I knew of Thundercat from his time with Suicidal Tendencies. He was always an amazing bassist although I was quite surprised when I heard his more recent work.

They did all buy the tickets with no idea who was playing though. Ticket sales are months before line ups are announced.

It's a lot less than previous years. Whenever I've been, I've always found several bands I wanted to see each day. This year there's four in total. Most people I've spoken to have only found a very small number of bands they'd want to see. Usually the Left field stage is my favourite for headliners, almost guaranteed punk but not this year. It's not a music was better in my day thing, a very large proportion of the bands there are from my youth and its the newer bands I enjoy more.

Most of them are fairly terrible or indie. Skunk Anansie are pretty good, one of the four bands I would watch but they're fairly average indie. Pigsx7 and Idles were two of the other bands I'd watch.

I think I'd strongly disagree. Certainly about music for all types of people. Most people I've spoken to say that it's really disappointing. A definite lack of noisy music with Pigs x7 providing the only heavier music and Idles as the only other noisy. band. Of course that is just my opinion.

I looked through the lineup. Over 300 bands and I found four I'd want to watch. Bland seems to be the theme this year. Musical beige.

Sherif Fat Man - Neds Atomic Dustbin

High on Fire at The Fleece on Sunday night. It's going to be LOUD and heavy. I'm not sure Matt Pike's wall of Orange amps will even fit in the building let alone on the stage

I really like it there. It's 10 minutes walk from home, the beer is great and the sound is excellent. I've seen loads of great bands there including White Lies, Airborne, Damned, Pigs x7, The Editors The Stranglers, The Skints, Dreadzone, Zion Train and loads of others. Pretty amazing for a small town venue. The PA in there came from the West Holts stage at Glastonbury so it's more than up to the job.

I forgot about them. Good band

I got two emails within about 10 minutes from my local small live music venue. The first announcing Paul McCartney is playing there tomorrow night. The second to say it's sold out. Same venue that Foo Fighters played their Glastonbury warm up. They do manage to punch above their weight for an old cattle market.

In fairness to the guitarist, he's far from flash. His solos are short, to the point and he doesn't use any fancy tricks. He's even got a smaller pedal board than me and mine is tiny (just ask Mrs XFR)

So have I. When I got home and saw the TV coverage, it was nothing like the actual experience I had. The biggest problem by far though is the risk of being effected by the horrors of Coldplay.

I've been to quite a few Glastonbury festivals and what they show on TV is always the extremes. I've been there wet years and seen the TV crews filming the very worst spot on site which is nothing like the majority of the site. There's always shade somewhere when it's sunny and an endless supply of free water. The crowds can be pretty extreme at the pyramid stage but I've always found better music and much more bearable crowds at the smaller stages. It's not for everyone but don't believe what you see on TV and in the papers, journalists like to sensationalise a bit.

Our style is heavy metal with a lot of grunge influences. Line up is lead, rhythm, drums and bass. Singer is yet to be recruited. Drummer is pretty sensible, he wants to stay out of the way for the solo with just a couple fills and not too heavy on the ride. Just me and rhythm can't quite work out what we're doing.
